Folks think twice before going to Kabab Corner Grand. The restaurant management are not bothered about the comfort nor the needs of the customer. The restaurant owner looks really grumpy.
Looking at the name we felt it would be a good restaurant, but alas! we were taken aback. When we entered the restaurant, we asked the owner if there was seating on the first floor as we were a big group, he said that there was no seating. Later when going to the wash room, I observed that they had ample seating on the first floor. I was unhappy that the owner lied to us.
We had a look at the menu card, oh boy! the dishes are over priced. I felt that this restaurant was set up to loot hungry customers who would stop there as they travel on the highway.
One of our group member wanted to order soup and thought of sharing it with another person, but cancelled his order when he saw in the menu card that it was written - Rs 10 would be charged extra if you ordered 1/2 soup.
I ordered Tangdi Kabab, but was told by the owner that they did not have it, so then I ordered another chicken dish. I then heard the next table ordering the same "Tangdi Kabab" dish, and saw the owner writing down the order, I lost my cool and questioned him on why did he lie to us saying that it was not there. He did not even have the decency to reply.
Later when we ordered Chicken Biriyani, the waiter brought us the dish, but did not bring the gravy that comes along with the biriyani. When we questioned him on why didn't he bring that? he coldly replied that they don't give that. We saw another waiter and asked him for gravy, we were astonished when he brought us the gravy, we got to know that the staff too were cold towards the customers and did not want to serve.
When a member in our group asked for a serving of salad that comes with the chicken dish, the owner came up to our table and told us that we need to order that separately.
My advise to tourists who travel on this stretch of Coonoor Road, stay away as best as you can from this restaurant and try other wonderful...

If you go eat here, you are most probably going to eat in a plate in which somebody just ate , yes without the plate being washed. Wipe the plate with a tissue and you would understand. Staff are a bunch of jokers not willing to work , even they get surprised when they get a visitor , all they want to say is NO to what you want and end up serving what they want to or what is easy to throw at you. They bill more , so just help yourself and calculate before paying. And food ? Do I really need to talk about food where they don't wash their plates ? Where the service is a joke ? Where the maintenance is ugly ? When I went in most of the tables looked like they got into a fight and threw food at each other. The menu card has got curry on it. Just surprised how these places...
Read moreâ¨â¨â¨ Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The food was terrible â the chicken was so hard that it felt like I needed a hammer to break it. We ordered grilled shawaya chicken, but instead, we were served a dish that seemed like blood masala chicken.
As for cleanliness, the hotel resembled a waste management vehicle more than a place to dine. The glasses and plates were visibly dirty, which only added to the overall unpleasant experience.
The service was even worse. One staff member seemed to be handling everything alone, but instead of providing proper service, he was tossing food and plates onto the table in an incredibly rude manner. His attitude was downright appalling.
In conclusion, this was by far the worst hotel I've stayed at in Ooty, and I would not recommend...
