We are avid travellers and being a vegetarian, I am always eager to try out vegetarian restaurants. I had come to Coimbatore on a personal visit and my uncle recommended this restaurant. The drive was painfully slow - 12 kilometers took about 1.5 hours. The mall is a beautiful, well maintained area. Kailash Parbat, is a restaurant that is situated on the ground floor with very nice ambiance and decor. The maître d' invited us warmly and got us seated. We started off with Pani Puri, tomato basil soup and chaas as appetizers. The Pani Puris we're served in very pretty mini-cycle rickshaws. The Pani was served in test-tubes (recall your chemistry lab days). The Puris came in a little basket. Overall a nice starter. Being originally from Calcutta, I expected a little more "umami" in the sweet chutney, but it was not bad. The soups and chaas were also very nice. We then ordered Raj Kachori, Amritsari Chole, Lasagna, a mixed vegetable curry (really good) and maa-daal, with sufficient quantity of phulkas and kulcha. All Indian preparations were very good. A good balance of spice, flavor and heat (we ordered medium heat). The Lasagna certainly needs some work. The cheese saved the dish, however the layers need work. Traditionally it is filled with meat, but we can quite easily substitute with beans and mashed vegetables. I suggest the chef watch videos recipes by Italian chefs like Mario Batali, Giada, Eric Ripert - just pick up any - to get a good idea. I wish the owners and chefs the best of luck. Being multi-cuisine, the responsibility is on the owners and chefs to maintain authenticity of the dish. I recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting it again in the near future. For a National chain and it's reputation, I had very high hopes with Kailash Parbat but honestly it was a let down. If it was just for the food, my rating would be 2 stars. The service was good here, that's why I gave an extra star. The staff are kind and courteous. Very good in taking feedback. But, the food was not great. Why? Here we go. Starting with tomato soup, it was way too sour for croutons or added pepper to camouflage. My parents just couldn't have it. Then comes the chaat platter which was honestly the best out of everything we had for lunch. It had papdi chaat, dahi puri, pani puri and bhel. I found the bhel too sweet. But the rest were great. The executive thali we ordered had Half the bowl of rice. My sister told me that she's had thali over there before and found much more quantity than what we had today as a part of executive thali. The sabzis in the thali were mediocre. I didn't like any of it except the dal tadka. The pulao also had very less seasoning and flavor. Coming to next which is naan and sabzis as A la carte. Ordered amritsari kofta curry which was really good. Then came dum aloo which was suggested as a signature by their staff. Dum aloo was so spicy that my dad was legit tearing up. Last came desserts. In Jalebi and rabdi, Jalebi was reeking of an old oil smell which showed that the jalebi wasn't fresh. Cold coffee was too bitter coz of the extra Nescafe powder garnishings that lumped up while mixing. Falooda was okay, not satisfactory. Little disappointed after wanting to try Kailash Parbat from past 1 year, seeing it's hype and fans. I have had better thaalis and North Indian food elsewhere.

Pros: 1. Location: It's on the ground floor of the Brookefields mall. It must be noted that there is no entrance from within the mall, you need to enter from the entrance near the point where cars enter the mall. 2. Food: The menu is HUGE. Pure Vegetarian. There are at least a hundred items ranging from Asian cuisine to north Indian and south Indian. We tried a few North-Indian dishes and they were made well. 3. Parking and toilet facilities: There are very limited toilet facilities inside the restaurant but you can use the massive facilities available within the mall if needed, so it's not really a problem. Parking is done in the mall car-parking itself, which again is massive. 4. Staff: Very courteous and helpful. The restaurant was full when we came in but the professional way in which the staff managed things and arranged a table for us was impressive. Cons: Not many really. The pricing is a bit on the expensive side, but considering the rents and other overheads for such a prime location, seems reasonable. Overall, a very good option for someone looking for a pure vegetarian option with a wide range of dishes for all age groups and palates.

This restaurant is the worst restaurant you can ever come to. The persons you are seeing in the pic are there to insult customers and can't even talk to a customer. If you have by complain about anything you have to hear " get out ". And if you mention about any other restaurants they will say " go to that restaurant itself ". It's for the 4th time these people did the same mistake. They lack in manners and will tell you that they have 4.5 star rating in Google maps. These people are boasting about their reviews too. Now after this they will reply to this in such a manner that it was my mistake to ask for something that is not possible. But the reality will be different. If any questions about this review just ask it, I'll answer. DON'T GO TO THIS RESTAURANT EVER.

You say that I was arrogant but we all know who was arrogant and who told me and my family to get out in front of everyone, didn't you say " you have 4.5 star rating in Google " ?. Did you even listen to the conversation first? You are talking about the customer service, let me tell you I am a hotelier worked with the best international hotel brands in the world, so don't you try to explain me about the services. Don't say sorry because it means nothing if you do the same mistake over and over again. You don't even have basic etiquettes about how to talk to a woman and a small child you are talking about customer service. I don't even have to explain myself because deep down you know who was wrong, and if you don't...
