Mirchi Express Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I visited this restaurant for dinner with two of my friends during the third week of January 2022. Based on the videos on Instagram by various food vloggers, I suggested to my friends that we try this newly opened restaurant. The restaurant can be easily located using Google maps. They have a limited parking area with valet service, if the parking spot is full, we are left to park our vehicle in the street. We arrived at the restaurant by around 8:30 pm. The restaurant has a seating capacity of about 60 to 70. Only two tables were vacant and we chose a table near the entrance. The washroom was clean The interiors were well lit and clean, air-conditioning was optimum, seats and tables were comfortable, the area near the entrance has glass roof and walls with water flowing over them, thus giving a rain effect. The ambience was good. We ordered Kozhi rasam (chicken soup), Paneer tikka, Crispy chicken lollipop, Tandoori chicken, naan bread, egg fried rice, chicken fried rice. All the dishes were good. Some dishes were priced ok, some were priced on the higher side. With this ends the good part, now coming to the letdowns, the service was bad, as we walked in to the restaurant we were recieved by a staff and allotted a table and after that we were not attended by any of the waiters for the next 10 to 15 minutes, I had to go and remind a waiter to come and give their menu cards. Even after that reminder, no staff came to our table. Myself and my friends had to be on a constant lookout for the waiter and wave at them to come to our table. After about 15 to 20 minutes of being seated we were attended to by a waiter and only then we were able ask them for the menu card. We took about 5 minutes to decide on what we were going to order, and then again to place our order we had to wait another 5 to 10 minutes for a waiter to come and note down our orders. Finally after about 20 to 25 minutes of being seated, we ended up placing our food order. Our food was served on time. We requested for hot water, instead we were given normal water and we wanted to ask for it to be changed and then as usual, we couldn't find any waiter to do so. All the tables in the section of the restaurant under the glass roof were ignored for pretty much most of the time. We could notice a family of four just walked out of the restaurant as they were ignored by the staff for a long time. Also a family who was seated in the table next to ours had to go and remind the cashier just to be provided with the menu card, they finally ended up quarelling with the staff due to the long time delay and cancelled their order. My friends love grilled chicken and I suggested they try it at this restaurant based on online reviews, but to our vain, it was not available, the reason cited for the same was that it had just got over, this was highly condemnable, since, we were not attended to by any waiter for about 20 minutes after being seated. We even asked one of the staff regarding all these long delays and we were told that the manpower was inadequate. There is a lot of scope for improvement in terms of improving the service and manpower. Based on my experience, I would only recommend that one can order food from this restaurant through online delivery platforms and avoid visiting this restaurant due to long time...

Had unexpected guests at home the other day . My wife remembered Mirchi Express at Egmore where we had a dinner when the Hotel was opened recently. The quality of food and services were good . We checked their Menu on their Website and ordered dinner for 12 to 15 people . A mix of Arabian , Chinese and Indian . Wondering if they would deliver to Kotturpuram area . They had no hesitation on the same. They had given a maximum time of 1 hour to deliver since the order was large . The food reached us within 50 mins , hot and ready to be laid on the table . The prices were very, very competitive , value for Money . Unlike most restaurants a packing charge of 5 per cent is levied and moreover they hv their Restaurant names printed on the containers . Mirchi Express had no packing charges and no delivery charges . The delivery person was very courteous and smilingly brought the food . Thanks for the timely delivery . On the food , it was like a feast . Delicious and no complaints . Nice flavours and all of us enjoyed the same . The guests were enjoying and were enquiring about Mirchi Express Egmore . The helpings were very, very large . And the packings were extraordinary. No spillages of any kind . The desserts were very sweet especially the Kunafas of Turkish delight . Had tasted them in Dubai . Lots to say about Mirchi Exoress Egmore . But do not want to make them Complacent . Keep the same quality and quantities going . Very average food , delayed service and worst customer response. Expected good food for ambience which they displayed but total disappointment. Never expected these types food . I ordered murgh Tikka masala(funniest gravy ever ) which was very average, kali mirchi kabab was like malai kabab (ordered bcoz I thought It ll be spicy but failed) , Kunafa is the fabulous one which I loved and only dish satisfy me . Trust me water was served very less and they dint have enough regular water . They told us to buy water bottle which we dint like to opt for . Overall very average food except kunafa and I am not satisfied for the money I paid them . Presentation wise good but taste must be improved and there must be proper service for the customer (for mayonnaise they took 15 mins , for water they took 5 mins and gave just 20 ml of water in 100 ml glass). My day was completely ruined by their food and service 😑 for each dish I was waiting for 10-15 mins what I got was completely unsatisfactory. 😑 my kind request to management. Please rectify everything do provide quality food for the amount we pay ....
