A Haven of Greenery, Melodies, and Culinary Delights: PH Cafe, Egmore
I recently had the pleasure of visiting PH Cafe in Egmore, and I must say, it's a true gem in the heart of the city. As an artist, I'm always on the lookout for places that inspire creativity and provide a relaxing atmosphere. PH Cafe exceeded my expectations in every way.
The first thing that struck me was the lush greenery that surrounds the cafe. It's like stepping into a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. The abundance of plants and trees created a refreshing ambiance, making it an ideal spot for artists seeking solace and inspiration.
One of the highlights of my visit was the musical shows held at PH Cafe. The stage was set in a way that perfectly complemented the natural surroundings, creating a unique and immersive experience for both performers and the audience. It's evident that PH Cafe is committed to curating a space where artistry thrives.
Now, let's talk about the food. The culinary offerings at PH Cafe are nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish was a delightful fusion of flavors, meticulously prepared and beautifully presented.
Overall, PH Cafe in Egmore is a haven for artists and anyone looking to immerse themselves in a harmonious blend of nature, music, and gastronomy. I left feeling not only creatively rejuvenated but also satiated with a memorable culinary experience. I highly recommend this place to fellow artists, couples, friends and anyone seeking a unique and enriching dining experience. I can't wait to return with my buddies and soak in the artistic...
Read more5 star for the ambience, I was surprised by the greenery and how quiet the place in the heart of Egmore ! Service was amazing the waiter was super polite and explained on why they did not have a physical menu , doing their bit for the environment much appreciated ! On the food we ordered the spicy lemon beef for starters, it is really good a spicy, there is an over tinge of the soy sauce which over powers the other flavors. Reduce the quantity of soy sauce on this and it'd be a signature dish , the beef was surprisingly super tender and actually felt like the texture of mutton ! Cut into small pieces unlike other places where they have big chuck pieces. Small attention to details is what makes them stand out. Onto the main course , the nasi goreng was a total indianised version (basic fried rice and not even close to the original nasi goreng). The egg was not sunny side up rather a full cooked version, the sambal was a tangy sauce (indian style again) , if you're looking for the authentic nasi goreng please don't other it The beef steak was in small pieces well tenderized (quantity could have been a little more for what was charged) and good , the pepper mushroom sauce for the steak was one of the best sauces I've ever had ! The veggies were good but could have been sauted a little more in butter (no complaints here) , go for the fries and not mashed potato (we ordered the mash and it wasn't upto what we expected it to be) Overall a good experience, hence the 4 star. Ake changes on the above recommendations and you will do...
Read moreOkay. So ph Café is not just for food.
It’s a place with a one-of-its-kind vibe. Really.
If you want to chill at a place in AC, with really artsy decor, while working on your laptop, sipping a cool drink and munching on some fried chicken strips - this is the place.
If you want to brave the Madras evening barminess, while laughing out loud with friends, and maybe even listening to some enthusiastic live music - this is the place.
If you want to just take in the trees, plants, paintings, and other neat and creative flourishes, in a heritage-level home in the Heart of Madras - this is the place.
If you want to eat some continental cuisine, where you can hear them explain how some of the veggies are actually grown in that place, then have the owner make suggestions for dishes and even whip up some new test dishes (all of which are delish!) - this is the place.
But yeah, once you get there, you’ll want to know what to order, right?
In my experience: they have a chicken strips with dip; it’s good any of their dishes with cream/cheese: they really excel at these; there’s a chicken soup (heaven something, I think) which is excellent. And their chicken creamy white sauce pasta. if they have it, try their off-the-menu Nutella brownie milkshake; Best. Chocolate. Milkshake. Ever. I’ve tried their fried rice and noodles and steaks; they’re okay, but they pale in comparison to the excellence of the other dishes they serve.
I’ve been here multiple times in just a few months, and it ends up costing about...
