Sherlock's Pub Chennai — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

This pub is located on the backside of Abu Sarovar Portico Hotel. The decor right from the entrance is totally in keeping with the theme of the famous British sleuth. The actual space is huge and well laid our with semi private spaces ensuring relative privacy.

We were a couple and decided to order a few starters to share and individual mains. But to our dismay both the starters we ordered were not available,seriously bruschetta is such a simple dish to pull off.

We then decided to go with the chilly paneer for my vegetarian friend and I went with the beer battered fish and chips.My friend loved the paneer but I found the ratio of the crisp coating to the actual fish totally skewed. Had to really get to the center to get a taste of fish. Loved the fries and the tartar sauce accompanying it though.

For mains I had the Penne with Chicken Aroma sauce and my friend had the Paneer Butter Masala and Jeera rice.He was pretty satisfied with his dish and I liked the creamy sauce too. Instead of garlic bread I was surprised to see triangles of Pizza Base toasted and topped with herbs. Then it hit me that maybe they were out of bread hence they did this kind of substitution and that explained also the absence of Bruschetta.

On the whole service was a tad slow but maybe in the evenings the vibe of the place...

Sherlock's is one of the great night club to visit in Chennai💯💯 the main thing about it is the dance floor... it has A great big place to dance to just vibe and make new friends while dancing.. we can see all kinds of character over there.... But here's the sad part... 🤦The manager judges people by their appearance and sends them inside ...ok that's a good thing to do... But they allow people who throws lemon peel on girls from the top area...but they don't allow people who dress out of their comfort zone and all the wanna do is dance and have fun ... They sent me back twice just because i has a pearcing in my lip and I wore oversized tshirt and had a topknot i already gave guest reservations over there but still they judge by the looks and the way the are... 💯💯 Other than that it's a great place to go... And also we had my big sisters wedding reception...

Such a bad experience I had first time we are going with my husband and my daughter who is 18 plus and they not allowed me bec she is not 21 but her all friends who is only 17 is inside showing fake id proofs and went itside So please do the proper checking for all and if you are strict means be strict with everyone... And bec I raised question so they didn't allowed me also as I am 40... Such a bad experience..plsss take all humans same.. Just spoil my day.. On stress we r coming for enjoying and if we got so bad experience..and Mr Umapathywho is the senior manager don't know how to convence us and what to speak.I am telling him then just allow me and my husband he said just a NO.....wht hospitality is this..
