Since I prefer drinks that arenât overly sweet, I went for their Gin & Tonic infused with cucumber, crisp, refreshing, and well-balanced. My friend tried the Pick Me Up mocktail and found it equally delightful. What excites me about contemporary resto-bars like this is their embrace of Indian flavors, moving beyond the usual continental and Asian-dominated menus. The Madras Taproom executes this beautifully, honouring classic Indian dishes with a refined touch. The coin parotta with mutton sukka was a standout, the parotta was light and crisp, complementing the flavourful, succulent mutton. The rasa vada was pure comfort, with a depth of flavours that spoke of tradition, while the podi idly was a fiery, nostalgic treat that delivered just the right amount of spice. The dal khichdi, though understated, was hearty and packed with soul-satisfying flavours.
