I was very much eager to visit there once and finally my wish came true. This place was actually situated on the second floor although we were able to find this place easily through the signs. After entering, I saw that this place has two separate seating areas i.e. one where the customer has to sit on the floor to eat (like the ones in any other asian restaurant) while the other one is at the table. The decor of the restaurant had a South Korean vibe and there was a wall full of pictures of pop culture personalities of South Korea, even the songs playing in the background were of South Korea like BTS and Girls' Generation ( the songs which I was able to guess). We chose to sit at the table and started going through the menu. After a minute, the waitress came to take our order by giving us a memo to write it down. She also bought a bottle of distilled water (that costs us 20 ruppee). We chose Ramyeon with pork in it (per bowl costs 350 rupees) and Kimbap with pork in it again (per serving 250 rupees). While waiting for the food they bought us plates and also served us with some dips to eat them with the ordered food. Now comes the taste, in the ramen the texture of the noodles were soft to bite not like the other ones which are harder to bite and chewy to eat. The broth consisted of thin soup and it was really spicy because of the chili oil put in it. But the spice didn't stop me from eating it. Although the meat was bland in taste, it seemed like the flavour of the soup didn't reach the meat and the egg was an hard-boiled one. Other than the meat everything was perfectly fine. Then comes the Kimbap which until now I had only saw in asian shows. It was nicely served in a platter alongside with some salad in it and they also gave us a small bowl of garlic chili oil to use it as a dip with kimbap. It had a slight sweet taste I guess there was something sweet filled in with it. They had the digital payment method which came to be really convenient for me to pay through the UPI.
Ultimately my experience there was really good and I was really satisfied with the politeness of the staff. But at the same time I felt like if the price range of the menu comes down slightly then people would be more comfortable to go...
Read moreThe servicing is so bad like so much. They literally took almost 2 hours to bring the food in our table. We just ordered only one dish which is ‘Banban’ but they were out of chicken so they were not able to prepare the food so they need to ordered the chicken first but instead of that they could have just informed us and we could have ordered something else but no they wasted our time and didn’t even bother to inform us anything. They are so unprofessional that even after pressing the bell in the table for like 5-6 times they didn’t even bother to come in our table and let us inform about the situation and even to ask us if we need anything else. We were so hungry that even though we wanted to order something else, the staff didn’t even bother to come in our table even after pressing the bell numerous times and then finally after waiting for 1.5 hours a staff came in our table and let us know about the situation but if he could have come before then we won’t be that pissed and obviously we could have order something else. I have never write any reviews or comments regarding any restaurants my whole life because as long as the food is good and as long as you informed us about the situation in time and beforehand then am okay with it but this particular place is so unprofessional like they didn’t even bother to tell us anything and even after calling them numerous times in our table they didn’t even show up and not to mention we waited almost 2 hours for our food and also the food is so average even the food is not worth waiting. The place is so overhyped in town just because its a Korean restaurant but the food is so average and overpriced and the servicing is so bad and unprofessional. Sorry to say but the place ‘Galbi Gui’ is not even worth of a single star...
Read moreMust appreciate the attempt to get Korean food in the city. Though Korean food looks simple but it's really work of art to get it right. I have only tried Veg options Kimbap and Bibinbap. **Positives: The Sushi(Kimbap) tastes good, very close to Korean Sushi. The atmosphere was good, and the view from the front is well used. *The Kimchis served were really good.
**Cons: Hanging K-Pop band's pictures on a wall doesn't make your place Korean, get the vibe with the aesthetics of a Korean restaurant. The rice used in Kimbap was not close to Sushi rice, it seemed like local rice used in it. *The Bibinbap was pathetic, on top of that I found a HAIR in it when half the Bibinbap was finished, it was quite long hair. I called for the waiter , she just made some sounds with same face "Oohh" "noooo" "huh" then she called the manager/owner he also made some similar sound and just one sorry and took away the plate. With that audacity he gave me the full bill. I asked, do I get any compensation for the hair, he just gave me a 150Rs discount not even the full dish discount. Nothing much I expected, If it happened anywhere outside India, I would have got full refund and more than...
