Shaamiyana — Restaurant in Tripura

No hate for anyone, but the service as well as the food was worst in town. Never had such kinda food. The welcome drink was served with the main course. No glasses were served with water, well the water bottle was also served after 30 minutes we ordered. Plates were dirty, the dum biriyani I ordered was cooler than the cold drinks, the rice served were not even properly boiled, the malai methi chicken was saltier than the salt itself. The plain parathas they served (worth ₹50/pc) are easily available in sweet shops (2/3pcs worth ₹20). The parathas were cold as well. When complained the manager gave excuses like “they are having overload of work, their staffs are working since morning (we were there at 10:30pm, on Christmas eve)” even though only 8-10 customers were present there for dinner. The food was served after 1hr of the order placed. No communication was made staffs . Well the ambiance and the atmosphere was good, but should study about the managing of hotels ands restaurants, 0 welcoming gestures. Lots of scopes to improve, hope to see...

Pros It's situated inside the campus of Ujjayanta palace( rear entry). Therefore has a good view of the palace and it's grounds.

The food is not too costly. The anarkali dal, mint mojito was good.

Cons

They served food extremely late, even after informing that we had ro catch a flight to Kolkata. They served the group of guests (local) 2 who came after us- all their items were served and they even left before we got even one order placed on our table!! Imagine the level of unkempt, corrupt mentality. I had ro repeatedly approach then and request for faster service.

The fried rice, mixed veg curry tasted quite bland and is not worth the money.

They don't have AC although they charge like an AC restaurant, so it's very uncomfortable to sit around and have food.

The waiter, a lad, didn't even serve any item on the plate ( which is why we didn't feel the need to tip him).

When I tried to wash my hands in the basin, there was no water in either of the three faucets.

I have to take out my time to rate this place cause I don't want others to experience the same. 1.The atmosphere was bizzare 2.food is bland, less quantity, too expensive, bizzare etc (really bad) There were rats running around. Bad odour That lady waiter was very disrespectful (i don't know she was laughing at us for no reason, which I found it to be very stupid) There were bugs in the food (unhygienic) Plates were dirty. Surrounding was very creepy and not at all friendly. We have to order everything at once. They demanded for no further order after the first order (I tried to order because the food was really less) Lastly there is a very bad ambience and the food is the worst, there are mosquitoes around.
