The Fern — Restaurant in Tripura

The restaurant has two floors, the ground floor is just like any other restaurant, normal sitting arrangement, the 1st floor is quite unique. It has a Japanese style sitting arrangement. The ambience is good with many quirky stuffs, but can be improved.

1st visit: Coming to food, the place is famous for their north eastern cuisine, but to be honest, I didn’t like their taste. We ordered Bastenga with pork (a Naga specialty), but the pork wasn’t cooked well. Their Indian cuisine was good though. Delivery time can be improved. We ordered momos as well, but it was never delivered and when we asked about it, they blamed it on us that we didn’t order the same. The price is also quite high.

2nd visit: We ordered chicken Kimbap, chicken barbecue and chicken momos with soup. We loved the barbecued chicken and the momos as well. Well cooked and delicious. But the Kimbap was tasteless, raw and had a weird smell. All the orders were served...

The seating arrangement made the place a unique one. After entering there is a small place with table chairs made of bamboo. From there if you go to the up floor there the seating arrangement is different you have to seat on the floor. So if you have a problem seating on the floor you can take the ground floor. The food was overall good, delicious, pricing was affordable, the quantity was also perfect 💯 One thing I didn't like is the cleanliness of the place for which I couldn't give them 5 🌟 They have to regularly clean the place, especially the corner of the table it would make anyone feel uncomfortable. Utter disgusted by the food they provided, tasteless overpriced, didn't even bothered to bring the complimentary item with the ordered item(though they mentioned it on the menu that it doesn't come with soup) . Me & my partner went to this restaurant today (we have been there before), i didn't wanted to have heavy food sool we decided to order momos which is priced at 140/- (8pcs). No chutney, no broth, no mayonnaise, the only chutney is provided which is nothing but dried chilli and oil mix. Had to order broth separately. In restaurant like this to spend 400/- for 2 plait of momos and chiken soup is pretty expensive.
