Nimtho Restaurant – Fine Dine? I Was Just Fine to Get Out
This place claims to offer a fine dining experience — the only thing fine was finally leaving.
From the start, there were red flags I regret ignoring. I ordered Buff Noodles, Veg Thakali Thali, momos, and an alcoholic drink — and it took forever to arrive. Even a basic request like water took 30 minutes, and the server wouldn’t leave the can at my table. Every glass had to be asked for like a luxury.
Service was pathetic. A waiter took spoons from our table and gave them to another one. Took 10+ minutes to get replacements. Then he spilled my drink, didn’t clean it, and I had to wipe the mess with tissues — which again took forever to arrive.
The ambience was miserable — no ventilation, we were sweating, and the place seemed severely understaffed. If it hadn’t already gotten late and I hadn't waited so long, I would've walked out.
As for the food:
Buff noodles were a miss.
Momos were the only saving grace.
Veg Thakali Thali was unique but overpriced with tiny portions.
And then came the real low point — I went to the washroom and it was a disaster:
Filthy and unhygienic
No staff in sight
No water available even to wash hands
Slippery floor outside that nearly made me fall
Honestly, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Overhyped, overpriced, unhygienic, and outright uncomfortable. No clue how it’s rated so highly.
