Laxmi Chai Wala in Varanasi is truly a hidden gem that offers an unparalleled chai experience! Nestled in the heart of this vibrant city, it stands out not only for its delightful beverages but also for its warm and welcoming atmosphere.

From the moment you approach Laxmi Chai Wala, you can sense the rich aroma of freshly brewed chai wafting through the air, enticing you to indulge in this local favorite. The chai here is absolutely mast - ek number tasty! I can confidently say it's the best chai I have ever had in the whole world. Each sip is a perfect blend of robust flavors and aromatic spices, brewed to perfection. Whether you are a chai connoisseur or just someone who enjoys a good cup of tea, this place will exceed your expectations.

But the excellence of Laxmi Chai Wala doesn't stop at their chai. Their Malai Makhan Toast is a delightful treat that complements the tea perfectly. The toast is generously topped with creamy malai makhan, creating a rich and decadent flavor that melts in your mouth. It's a unique and delicious snack that you won't find anywhere else.

The true star of the show, however, is their Safed Makhan Toast. This delicacy is what makes Laxmi Chai Wala truly famous. The toast, spread with luscious white butter, is an absolute delight. The creamy texture of the butter combined with the crispiness of the toast creates a heavenly combination that is both comforting and indulgent. It's no wonder that this spot is one of the best and most well-known in Varanasi.

Laxmi Chai Wala is more than just a place to get a great cup of chai. It's an experience that captures the essence of Varanasi - warm, inviting, and full of flavors. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to share a smile or a chat, making you feel right at home. Whether you're a local or a tourist, you'll find yourself coming back to this spot time and time again.

In conclusion, if you find yourself in Varanasi, a visit to Laxmi Chai Wala is an absolute must. Their chai, Malai Makhan Toast, and especially their Safed Makhan Toast are simply unparalleled. This place offers not just food and drink, but a slice of Varanasi's rich culture and hospitality. Highly recommended!

Hope this helps! Enjoy your visit to...

Nestled in the narrow, bustling lanes near Gate No. 4 of the Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, Laxmi Chai Wala is a hidden gem that offers an authentic taste of Varanasi’s street food culture. Though easy to miss amidst the maze-like alleys, once you find this spot, it’s hard to forget. The unassuming tea stall has been delighting locals and visitors alike with its simple yet flavorful offerings.

The highlight, of course, is the chai. Served in traditional earthen cups (kulhads), the chai here is nothing short of delightful. Rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced, it’s the kind of tea that warms both the body and the soul. Whether you’re a regular chai drinker or just looking for a pick-me-up after visiting the temple, Laxmi Chai Wala’s tea is a must-try.

What sets this place apart, however, is the wide variety of toasts on offer. From simple butter toast to cheese-loaded, spiced variations, their toasts are the perfect accompaniment to the chai. The menu caters to different tastes, with options ranging from sweet to savory, each one toasted to golden perfection. The combination of crispy toast and piping hot chai, enjoyed in the laid-back, traditional setting of Varanasi’s narrow lanes, makes for a memorable experience.

Despite its humble setup, the service at Laxmi Chai Wala is friendly and quick. The charm of sitting on a small stool in a crowded lane, sipping chai while the sounds and sights of Varanasi surround you, is a quintessential part of the experience.

For anyone visiting Kashi Vishwanath Mandir or exploring Varanasi’s narrow streets, Laxmi Chai Wala offers a delightful pause. It’s a place where simplicity meets flavor, making it a beloved spot for locals and an authentic experience for tourists. Whether you're in the mood for a comforting cup of chai or a quick, tasty snack, this chai wala is...

Another attraction near the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, serving home made white makkhan Toast and Malaai Toast along with a cup of hot Tea in a kullhad.

Now, I read some people reviewing it as a place with low hygiene, to them I wanna ask to please go to Taj or Oberoi to have your breakfast what are you doing on the crowded, unhygienic streets of Varanasi ?

Also read that it is difficult to park, I mean seriously ?? Do you think with this level of crowd and vendors on the street and the lanes being barely wide that even two people cannot walk together, you are looking for a parking space ?

These places are meant to be explored on foot or rickshaw, you keep walking these endless streets, you keep finding timeless houses, timeless shops, timeless sweet shops, timeless saree shops, timeless pan shops and you keep experimenting to find which one is the best and then share your review, but parking .....

The place may be crowded during the afternoon because of the influx of a lot of people owing to the fame the place has garnered and since it is inside a very narrow lane, it might feel a bit less comfortable to stand among a crowd and have your toast and tea, but you visit here early in the morning just like I did, you can sit and enjoy your tea and toast in peace.

The tea I can say, can be better but I tried tasting tea at other nearby places and found the taste was almost consistent, i.e. didn't find a special taste to the tea to make it worth remembering. Hence a humble suggestion to the owners to make a few signature varieties of tea, so that people come to have these signature tea ☕ varieties, just like they come for the Malaai Toast and the safed home made...
