We stayed in Kush Ganga from 21st-24th Dec'22. First of all, hotel is not fully accessible by car. You have to drop off other side of the bridge (if coming from Jolly Grant airport etc) and then walk about 300-400 metres , crossing the bridge to get to the hotel. However, hotel did sent their staffs to carry the luggage we had (and we had a quite a few of them, 5 big bags as travelling with 2 senior people and a kid!) Location of the hotel is very near to Har ki Pauri ghat, however, Ganges/Ghat is not directly visible from the hotel due to lanes in front of it.||Pros -||1. Excellent behavior and service by hotel staffs - this includes from manager to the attendants for room service - very cordial , warm and always ready to help.||2. Good food (veg only, as entire Haridwar is veg) - restaurant is small but I would definitely say they server quite quickly and always ready to help with additional requests (like hot water, warming up the food if needed once more etc)||3. Location is very near to Har ki Pauri, nearest market area, nearby temples etc||||Cons -||1. Due to the location of the hotel - people with disability requiring a wheelchair or unable to walk/having a problem with knees due to age etc. might find it lil difficult to reach initially. Again , hotel staffs may arrange some rickshaw or something in that case if they are informed well in advance but keep in mind no matter where you are coming from - you have to walk up to the hotel at-least for 5-7 minutes. ||2. They definitely need to install room heaters (can think of charging extra for using it but definitely need to provide it) - we visited in December and definitely felt the cold bed at night. Room heater is a must there and...
   Read moreHello folks,
This is my all time go to place whenever I make a visit to Haridwar. I am visiting here and taking joyful experience of their preparation since my childhood. Without wasting time, let's get into details, so that you can decide whether it's a worth try or not.
(+) The place is clean, you can visit here with you family and children. (+) Their choley are cooked and nurtured well and you will feel a perfect blend of spices on your tongue. It's full on spices without making it blunt and intolerable to your stomach. But yeah, if you're allergic to peppers and other quite hot spices then be cautious. However, it's not that spicy. (+) They don't use onions & garlic in their preparation, however if you want onions then you can take it as salad. (+) Place is close to Har ki paudi, so you can walk down here after taking holy dip into Ganges. It's close to kotwali. (+) Their chana soup is not less than rasam in any way. It's nutritious too. (+) They prepare bhature in proper desi style. Don't compare it with those served at Haldirams, Bikanerwala etc. They don't use rice flour or semolina(that's my observation).
(-) If you're reaching here by car, then you need to park it somewhere as they don't have parking space. It's just on road. (-) Place is small and should expect heavy rush if going in...
Read moreWho eats smoky chole. Worst chole bhature ever had. Bhature were so oily. Moreover I was sitting in the lobby area so every preparation was visible clearly.
They were putting oil in literally everything be it chole chawal, kulche, bun, extra oil was being put on top. Their so called chhole ka paani tastes like salt put in water with 2 spoonful oil.
I can easily eat two plates chole bhature anyday but here it became impossible for me to finish even 1 piece. Heavy heartedly, I left the plate unfinished.
Whole mood got spoilt for the day. I had to try other places also but couldnât just due to this experience.
Another group also came after me, they tried maska, they also left after just trying 1 plate. Fortunately they were in group so they could finish the dishđ .
Will never recommend this place to anyone.
Chhole Bhature khaane hai? To delhi aao. The thele wala bhaiya at every nook and corner in delhi cooks better chhole bhature than this place.
I donât know how this place has got so many 5 star reviews. Either they are promotional, fake or they have never tasted chhole bhature in their life. They will completely forget this place once they get the real taste...
