Terrible Experience at Lemon Tree Premier, Rishikesh – Avoid at All Costs!
I had an absolutely awful experience at Lemon Tree Premier, Rishikesh, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. From the moment we arrived, things started going downhill.
Check-in Disaster:
The check-in process was painfully slow, with disorganized staff who seemed clueless about our booking. We had to wait over an hour to get our room, and there was no apology or sense of urgency.
Filthy Rooms & Poor Maintenance:
When we finally got to our room, it was a complete mess—dusty furniture, stained sheets, and a bathroom that smelled absolutely foul. The sink was leaking, and the shower barely had any hot water. It felt like we were staying in a rundown motel rather than a “premier” hotel.
Rude and Unhelpful Staff:
The staff here seriously need training in basic hospitality. Any time we asked for something—extra towels, room cleaning, or even basic information—we were met with rude responses and unnecessary delays. It felt like they were doing us a favor by even acknowledging us.
Overpriced and Terrible Food:
The food at the restaurant was overpriced and disgusting. The buffet was bland, cold, and clearly not fresh. Even simple items like coffee tasted horrible. We ended up eating outside for most of our stay.
Noisy and Uncomfortable Stay:
The hotel claims to offer a peaceful environment, but in reality, it was loud and chaotic. We could hear everything from the next room, including loud conversations and TV noise late into the night. The mattress was uncomfortable, and we barely got any sleep.
False Promises & Poor Management:
The hotel advertises luxurious facilities, but nothing actually works as promised. The WiFi was terrible, the so-called “river view” was blocked by construction, and the pool was dirty. When we complained, the management didn’t care at all.
Final Verdict: DO NOT STAY HERE!
For the amount they charge, this place is a complete scam. There are way better hotels in Rishikesh that actually provide good service. Save yourself the headache and...

To begin with the positives – the rooms are clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The dinner and breakfast were truly delightful in terms of taste and quality. However, that’s where the good experience ended.
Hospitality was nearly non-existent. Despite informing them that we were travelling with two small kids, they allotted us the last room on the top floor, making it extremely inconvenient to move around. On arrival, we were simply handed over the keys at the reception with no assistance whatsoever – a first for us in a hotel of this category. Our luggage was delayed by over 30 minutes, adding to the frustration.
The location is also a letdown – situated in one of the most congested and chaotic areas of Rishikesh with no scenic view to speak of.
The biggest disappointment came in the form of staff behavior. We arrived 15 minutes late for the complimentary evening high tea and despite polite requests, the restaurant manager rudely denied even a cup of tea. The tone and attitude were unprofessional and completely lacking in basic courtesy.
Additionally, there were no activities or play area for kids, which made the stay rather dull and inconvenient for families.
To sum up, Lemon Tree Rishikesh fails to deliver on hospitality and guest comfort, and falls far short of expectations when compared with nearby competitors like Aloha on the Ganges. Would not recommend for families or those expecting a warm,...

That is why I deducted One Star from rating. ||Secondly, I had booked 2 Rooms (30 days prior to Check-in) and the staff initially allotted rooms in different floors. Still that servant of British mentality. ||After calling the manager or someone, they gave us 2 rooms in the same floor, 4 rooms apart !!
