You cannot miss this outlet tucked in the corner before you climb the steps of Axis Mall. The place looked interesting and we were looking forward to a good beer and some sausages for lunch in this "German" cafe or some french breads in a "bistro". As we looked at their menu card it became clear the name was a misnomer

Setting and Service: The setting was cozy and inviting, with a clean and warm atmosphere. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and our food arrived promptly within 10 minutes of ordering.

Food: The menu card revealed a diverse array of options, leaving us questioning the restaurant's theme. I saw burgers, fish and chips, some Italian options and a fellow diner eating something that looked like naan and chicken. The food was a mixed bag. We ordered a grilled fish which came with spiced rice, battered wedges, and sauteed vegetables.The vegetable was fantastic and the mildly flavoured rice was very good as well. We would have preferred baked wedges over fried ones. The grilled Bhetki was a thick steak, but the cornflour slurry on top completely overpowered the flavours. Perhaps the kitchen team needs to revamp the sauces. The other item we ordered was chicken wings. This was also deep fried with an additional coating of barbecue sauce. There wasn't much the chef could do about it. The ultimate let down was the strawberry milk shake. This was strawberry syrup whisked with milk and was absolutely disgusting. I recently had the pleasure of visiting German Cafe & Bistro and it was an all-around excellent experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. The décor struck a great balance between modern and cozy, with soft lighting and comfortable seating.

The food was the true star of the evening. The menu offered a wide variety of options, catering to different tastes and preferences, from flavorful starters to decadent desserts. We have been to this place before but the recent incident of the staffs and managers rudeness was shocking.. we ordered a grilled fish ( which the waiter did not like as he was suggesting some other dish).. When the fish arrived it was rather fried with an egg batter.. I said I have egg allegy and usually this grilled fish is never fried.. To which the waiter got angry and said why I did not take the food which was suggested by him.. he pointed out in a very bad tone and anger that it is my fault ..Then he said he doesnt want to talk to us and he sent out the manager.. my husband tried his best to tell that we will pack it and let us arrange something else. But the manager too was busy convincing me who and why I was the one who is at fault.. We paid our bill and told then we will never visit again.. We did not take the food with us too.. to which the staff was indifferent and still continuing to argue that how a customer should order and how it was our fault..
