Hasty Tasty Pure Veg Restaurant — Restaurant in West Bengal

Whenever you search on the internet as where to dine in Darjeeling, you get to see this name popping up. Don't step into that trap. The menu has a handful amount of dishes but only a few is available. The food quality is usual but extremely overpriced in contrast with the quality. To put things understandable, here is an example. A cup of coffee is 40 INR. Whereas, they serve the normal machine-coffee in paper cups which cannot be priced more than 20 bucks. Regardless of around 30 rupees overpricing in every item, the ambience is dull and dusty, it's a self service (means nobody serves you. You have to place and bring the order to your table by yourself), and lastly it is not at all hasty. I give it a two star only for the behaviour of the manager, taste of the food and the handy location. But I highly suggest visiting keventers which is just beside this shop for conserving...

My experience of this place has been very different in the month of April 2022 compared to some of the negative reviews. Though I only ordered a Veg Chowmein and a cup of coffee, there were multiple things behind this good rating. I reached in the evening when there was no one at this place but it soon more people trickled in. The tables as well as the place was very clean. The view near the window is really good but this is true for some many places in Darjeeling. The chowmein was cooked using vermicelli noodles and though I was not prepared for that, the taste was really good. It was desi Indian style chowmein not the authentic Chinese taste but I like the desi version too. Coffee was strong and wasn't too milky. This was a really good option for pure vegetarian food after the disaster at Frank Ross nearby where the food was literally unpalatable the day...

It is a pure veg restaurant on the mall road of Darjeeling.It is one of the two pure veg restaurants on the mall road.The ambience of the restaurant is not that great.The quality of food is ok.The restaurant is self service.There is not much space for customers as 1/2 the area is occupied by the kitchen itself.The order takes more than 1/2 an hour and its not on 1st come 1st serve basis.If you have to order more later like chapatis/any other food item you will have to wait for even longer than earlier.This was the state in march , i wonder what will happen in peak season.The place is cash only.The rates are little lesser than the other pure veg restaurant.The R.O waste water which is deemed unfit for drinking is being used here for hand wash.There is no washroom in the restaurant.It is not...
