The iconic restaurant which has been carrying it's legacy biriyani for 40 years. We went to this restaurant to check if it has done any justice to that or not. Actually this is the first time we have ever visited any sukkubai Biriyani restaurant.
Let's start with the good things first Biriyani was of less irritants and felt good for my stomach by not causing any unwanted burps That's the only good thing about this restaurant
We went for a Sunday lunch and we had a below average experience
The biriyani had no special taste that we thought it would carry which was kind of disappointment. It was just a regular biriyani with less irritants and thats all about it. Chicken biryani had so less chicken pieces and it looked as if kuskha was made seperately and chicken was put on top of it to make it look like a chicken biryani , mutton biriyani was okay with just few pieces. Tandoori chicken was so spicy and little hard which we didn't like it at all . Mutton pepper fry was okay. My brother liked it actually but others didn't
Service was a big concern, waiter was not attentive and we only saw 1-2 people taking orders for 12-15 tables which was a big let down .
We waited for 10 - 15 mins for someone to take our order itself which was not a good thing on a Sunday lunch when you expect the max foot fall We paid 1000/- for 4 items and we came out with not so happy mind and heart and we had to change our taste by eating ice-cream at my favourite location
Not sure about other locations but this one was below average and would I recommend it to others then I would definitely say if you are a fan of sukku bai Biriyani then you may like it but for me it was a okayish experience. Thanks...
Read moreIf you're craving a plate of traditional Chennai-style biryani, Sukkubhai Biriyani is a name that’s hard to miss. With multiple branches across the city, it has become a popular destination for meat lovers and biryani enthusiasts alike.
The biryani here leans toward the spicy, flavorful variety typical of Tamil Nadu — fragrant rice cooked with generous portions of meat and spices that pack a punch. The mutton biryani is often a crowd favorite, tender and well-marinated, while the chicken version receives mixed feedback, with some finding it slightly dry or overcooked on occasion.
Ambience-wise, it’s casual and functional more about the food than fancy decor. Service can be hit or miss, especially during peak hours, but the turnover is quick, and food arrives hot.
What truly stands out is the value for money. The portions are hearty, and the pricing is reasonable, making it a go-to for a filling weekend lunch or late-night meal. However, the experience can vary across outlets, with some maintaining consistency better than others.
A solid choice for satisfying your biryani cravings, especially if you're into the local style. Just go in with moderate expectations, and you’ll likely walk out...
Read moreHorrible experience!! Please give it a read guys!!
Me and my husband Went yesterday at 830pm and ordered mutton briyani and they told it might take another 20mins and we were ready to wait as it was our first time at sukku bhai It was not even 2 mins the manager came and told to the waiter to take another order why wasting time(we both were sitting just aside him and he was aware that we could hear him)
After 5 mins the waiter told us to shift to another place (2 seater) and we shifted We ordered bread halwa Prawn briyani and mutton briyani
Extremely disappointed with both the briyani First prawn briyani was just cooked prawns put in chicken kuska Mutton briyani had only 2 pieces (local shops even give more pieces)
Bread halwa was good!!
Advice to the Management: try to learn some professional and marketing ethics from restaurants like “ss Hyderabad briyani” where they provide atleast 5 mutton pieces and free bread halwa to satisfy their customers at the same price you provide Try to install phone pe/ google pay 💰
Advice to the mannerless Manager: Learn some basic manners how to treat people!! Go get a life man!! Very cheap behaviour I have ever seen that too...
