In a few words - it is one of the best multi-cuisine restaurants in the city! Was here with family & friends last Friday & had a great time savouring some awesome chaats (sev puri & pani puri are actually the best u can get in the city), paneer tikkas (malai/ cheese marinated & the original cottage cheese tikkas), tacos, penne pasta, sizzlers & our all time favourite nachos! Impeccable service, awesome taste, flawless plating & good portions of about everything that we ordered, made it a wonderful experience at this all veggie restaurant. The crowd waiting outside even at 10:30pm in the night for a table speaks for the benchmark this place has created amongst the best all-veggie multi cuisine restaurants in Chennai. For people visiting the city or for the chenaiites themselves, do check this place out for an unforgettable experience.
Thank u Surendra (restaurant manager) & team for the wonderful experience. Will come back soon!! Second Visit today - Was a place by choice basis visit to another location. Always had an opinion to be very expensive and hence avoided it in the past, but the food and ambience had knocked them out this time. The staff was very too courteous and had suggested basis our expectations. We had started off with Mom's special soup and a panneer Tikka starter and a crispy veg. Spicyness was just as apt basis our request for the lip-smacking panneer Tikka. And the crispy veg was just as crunchy to our liking. Both are must try for every foodie, especially never miss panneer for their softness and flavor infused until the last bit. Our main course included a salad that was a bit more limy(could be a little less though), it was in exact preference to the one ordered. Never seen any restaurant hold garlic roti and being my first try never expected that it is a good alternate for wheat over maida preferors. The subji ordered was again based of panneer and was just exquisite with the garlic roti. To end this we had ordered a Lassi and requested to bring them as two halves, to our surprise the portion was big though in two glasses. The first sip had reminded the exquisite Lassi that I had tasted in Delhi at paratha Galli, again never...
Read moreWhen a group of my school friends planned a outing... We zeroed in on PIND at velachery... As it was a central location for all of us.. And as there are couple of vegetarians and a jain in my group and this restaurant fulfills both these requirements...
Valet Parking Available... Bike parking in the opposite streets...
Above average ambiance... Clean and well maintained....on my visit the air-con at our side and a few other were switched off within half hour of our visit but were switched on only after our repeated requests....Did not like this attitude..
Slow service but also we cannot neglect the fact that the restaurant was jam packed during my visit.. Which affected the service a lot... And a few servers need training.. One guy even served a mushroom soup saying that it is tomato soup..
Could well be the best north indian veg restaurant in chennai... The paneer dishes i tasted here are the best yet... We ordered an array of items.. Of which i would summarize that... Soups are average... Fried rices were not that great...Tandoori nazraane platter and chinese platter were just awesome... The patiyala bucket(11 varieties of naan) though tasted good...were not as hot as they should be.. The gravy items were above average....The lassi was great so was the matka kulfi.... But the fruit juices and fruit salads were just not worth it...
This restaurant is worth a visit specially for the north indian items...naans , tandoori , lassi... Paneer items are a must try... Veg sheek kebab , the tandoori nazraane and chinese platter are complete bang for...
Read moreExtremely Disappointing Dining Experience
I recently visited this restaurant for a family lunch with a group of around 20 people, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory.
To begin with, the food quality was extremely poor. The tandoori roti, which we specifically asked to be crisp and properly roasted, was served undercooked and soft—not once, but repeatedly, even after several reminders. It was disappointing to see that such a basic request could not be fulfilled.
The tomato soup was equally unimpressive. It tasted like plain hot water with barely any flavor—completely bland and lacking the richness one would expect from even a standard tomato soup.
Service was another major letdown. Despite our group size, which should have been an opportunity for the staff to showcase their hospitality, we had to keep requesting basic items like water glasses and cutlery. What made it worse was the restaurant’s new location, which seemed highly unprepared for hosting diners. There was barely any space to keep even the essentials on the same floor, leading to constant delays and repeated follow-ups from our side.
Overall, the experience was frustrating and disappointing—from food to service to infrastructure. For a place that once may have had a reputation, this new setup and lack of attention to quality and customer experience was truly disheartening. I hope the management takes serious note of this feedback and makes the necessary...
