Grill Box — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

This is one among the cheaper and better alternatives to the barbecue nation. During weekends one can find a price difference up to 200 than the bigger names in barbecue buffets. But Grill box has a wide spread at this price and its hard to try every dish in one visit 😊😊

Location/parking - Located in the busy RK Salai with a dedicated parking area. So no worries about parking. Just use the Google maps and reach.

Ambience - perfect for a buffet restaurant. Well distributed seats (sofas and chairs available). Best part is the desserts and main spread in the centre and easily accessible.

Food - we had sharbath as welcome drink - refreshing to start with. they have six non veg dishes including - on the table grilled prawns, fish and chicken. Grilled prawn abs chicken are our favourites. Among the veg grilled items we loved the mushrooms, panneer and grilled pine apples.. The veg main dishes include a wide variety of fried rice, plain rice, sambar, rasam, naan, kulcha ,etc. Among the non veg dishes the standalones are crab masala and a yummy mutton briyani (usually I hate the briyani in buffet places but this one is an exception). Now coming to the special dishes here - there is a live dosa counter with 6 varieties of dosa..the chocolate dosa is a visual and tasty treat. And the next favourite here is the chocolate fountain with banana cake crumbs. Spent a lot of time near this fountain eating loads and loads. The desserts counter is filled with gulab jamuns, carrot halwa and rasmalai. Also they have wide pastry varieties. They have a cold stone ice cream counter where we can make our own selection of ice cream and mix with toppings and syrups.

Service - it's super good. Very quick and extremely pleasant.😊😊😊

Dear Grill box Management,

Good day.

I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent experience I had at your restaurant, which I feel needs your immediate attention.

On the 19 th of last month, I called your restaurant to make a dinner reservation for six people, including a five-mond infant. I expected a courteous response, but instead, the person who answered the call was extremely rude and unprofessional. He did not greet me or show any basic manners, and simply said, “We’re busy, call after 9 PM.” There was no attempt to assist or accommodate, despite us clearly mentioning that we had an infant and needed a suitable table.

Eventually, he booked our table for 9:30 PM. When we arrived and were having our meal, I asked to speak with a supervisor regarding the earlier phone call. Unfortunately, the supervisor was equally indifferent. Rather than apologizing or addressing the concern, he simply said, “We are busy,” showing no regard for our discomfort or feedback.

This kind of unwelcoming attitude from your staff was extremely disappointing. We chose your restaurant hoping for a pleasant change from our usual visits to Barbeque Nation, but sadly, it turned out to be a very unpleasant experience. We felt disrespected and unwelcome, despite being paying customers simply hoping for good food and a comfortable atmosphere.

I sincerely hope you take this feedback seriously. Basic customer service, especially when dealing with families and infants, should be a priority. We were not asking for any favors—just the courtesy and hospitality that every guest deserves.
