Ayo Vegan is definitely my favorite place to be at when I'm in Ubud. Everything about this place is awsome! The food, the people working there and the people visting. You can sit there a whole day and not be bored. Trust me I know, because I've been doing that quite a lot. They have those amazing pancakes, that you can get for breakfast if you would like, and with that I would recommend their coffe with coconut milk at the side. It's probably the best coffe that you can get in Ubud. They have obviously more food that you can have for lunch or dinner (Like this amazing Strar Wrap or Lemongrass and Coconut soup with tofu that are probably my favorites), the price isn't high and you get a lot of good food for the money. I have been there five times so far and I always felt welcomed and at home there. If you're in Bali and Ubud someday, don't miss out on this...
Read moreThe owner of this place has two restaurants, both with a similar vibe. The other is called Wulan Vegetarian, but it is 100% vegan food. Ayo Vegan seems to be the original location.
The selection of food is mostly balinese though they do have tacos, chips and salsa, sweet potato fries, and edamame. You can also buy cookies, cake, smoothie bowls, and a variety of beverages including hot or cold teas and juices. The most expensive thing on the menu (as of December 2018) is only 47k - that's a little over 4 USD for a meal. Good food at good prices!
The dining area offers a great atmosphere with floor seating arranged in a circle under a gazebo style roof. The owners are friendly- I've seen them at both locations :) Don't pass up the chance to check out Ayo Vegan and Wulan Vegetarian when...
Read moreAfter some hit or miss experiences getting vegan food at regular restaurants we jumped at this vegan spot. The drinks were refreshing. I'm a ginger nut so the lime ginger was a no-brainer and it was delicious.
I got the wulan tacos and it was so fresh tasting, with a hint of spiciness. It was perfect after yoga. Then I tried the satay and honestly it is the the best thing I've eaten since being in Bali. It is worth the trip to come here just for the satay.
Service was lovely and the dining area was cozy. Hope we can come again...
