Worst and dishonest food stand in the market! DONT EAT THERE.

We went to the market to have a good and humble local food experience that quickly became a dishonest situation where the lady owner (there are 2 ladies working there) asked us for 100.000rp for 2 babi guling with 0 meat on it, it was basically guts and bone. Attention that this plate normally costs 25.000 rp max! So we understood that we were being scammed. Also, she started laughing when we accepted, so the attitude said it all. The market itself is small and doesn't have price in the menus... so good luck

It's sad that these things happen as we support the locals consistently, and these type of dishonest people just put down a cultural experience that we want to support.

10 super good Warung "restaurants" for lunch or dinner and dessert or juices and snacks. Complete range of Balinese and Indonesian food cooked fresh. One of the best spots in Ubud for Babi Guling "roast pig". Items like drinks and snacks can start out at about 5,000 rupiah or about $0.35 cents and everything is very affordable. Ask to see menus with pictures and in English as well as Indonesian. Many English speakers.

I don't know if we went on a wrong day or time, but it didn't seem like anything worthwhile. Just few stalls. There were not many people there. We went because someone recommended to try the babi guling there. We saw the stall but the server diddnt seem very friendly & when she showed us the pork it was just in a tub on the floor, not covered & didn't look very clean, so we decided not to try it there. If you do end up here I'd recommend Warung Ibu Nila. Had a lovely elderly lady who was very welcoming & kind. The food was decent aswell. In all honesty though, wouldn't recommend this market.
