Puri Agung Peliatan — Attraction in Bali

This place isn’t really worth a journey, but if you’re passing by you can peek in. I wasn’t told much about the history nor culture - contrary to numerous reviews. You have to wear traditional outfit which will cost you 30k and you’ll just have a quick look inside one area. You can’t actually go inside (only courtyard). All this is fair and understandable, but it seems its tailoring to photography obsessed tourist. This lady who was showing me around was only telling me yo pose at every corner for her to take a picture and even after I told her twice I don’t need pictures of me here I just wanted to see the place, she kept going… I guess that’s what’s a big appeal these days, but I was honestly...

We paid 30k each to enter and visit some areas of the palace where the king of Ubud actually lives. It's not an extensive tour but it's still very interesting and very beautiful. The lady guided us and gave us some info and facts about it.

They provide their traditional garment before entering so I think it's a nice opportunity to snap some pictures in those clothes.

Such a beautiful and cultural experience at Puri Peliatan Ubud! I came for the Babi Guling Festival, and it was truly unforgettable. The energy of the place, the connection to tradition, and the welcoming community make it a very special destination.
