If you’re looking for a hidden gem in Bali, HOME CAFE Jatayu is an absolute must-visit! From the moment you step inside, you’re embraced by a warm, cozy atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The interior design is simple yet elegant, with beautiful natural touches that perfectly reflect the tranquil vibe of Ubud.
Now, let’s talk about the food. Their breakfasts are phenomenal! I tried the croissant sandwich with smoked salmon and fresh greens, and it was one of the best I’ve had. The balance of flavors and the freshness of the ingredients truly stood out. The scrambled eggs were creamy and perfectly cooked, accompanied by a vibrant mix of vegetables that not only tasted delicious but also looked like a work of art. Everything is carefully crafted, with a clear emphasis on quality and health-conscious choices.
The service? Simply impeccable. The staff here go above and beyond to make sure your experience is flawless. They’re attentive, friendly, and genuinely care about your satisfaction. It’s the kind of place where even small details matter, like the way your coffee is served or how quickly they accommodate any special requests.
One of my favorite things about this place is the calm and peaceful ambiance. Whether you’re enjoying your meal by the window or just sipping on a perfectly brewed latte, you’re surrounded by greenery and natural light, making it a fantastic spot to relax and unwind.
If you’re in Ubud and want a place where you can indulge in excellent food, friendly service, and a welcoming vibe, HOME CAFE Jatayu is the place to be. It’s not just a cafe; it’s an experience that stays with you. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Read moreI was passing by and the name Home caught my attention. I had previously seen a board with a description, it said that they claimed that this was the healthiest cafe in Bali. Anyone who writes like that immediately arouses suspicion, only those who have checked all the ingredients in all the cafes in Bali can write like that, and this is impossible. I decided to check with minimum orders. I decided to order what I know, since I lived in India for many years, I ordered Masala Latte, since I know what Masala tastes like and what effect it gives. They brought me milk and spices around the cup, but inside the cup there was no Masala at all, the price was only for milk. So the price is inflated for the lack of the specified goods. If you know what it is, you cannot be deceived. They deceived because they inflated their level of importance, considering themselves above everyone else. Ego inside the cafe, it should be closed, such places bring big problems on the island, since they raise the level of prices around for something empty inside. It's important that there is no love there. There are many places in Bali where you can get excellent quality, without inflated self-esteem. Closing the cafe will be good for them for Bali. The only thing that calmed me down was that after trying Masala, I expressed my opinion, and the service reaction was emotional, and they did not ask me to pay the bill, this is good, but remove your Ego, this is not nice in Bali, you need to write that you are not the best, but unique then there is no question, you sell milk for prices from space. In this you are unique. With...
Read moreI visited this café two days in a row to work and enjoy the amazing food, but unfortunately, the service felt poorly managed.
Yesterday, they forgot my second-round order, which was already disappointing. Today, I brought my laptop to work while having lunch. When I arrived, I asked if I could sit at a larger table (which they normally allow for customers), but I was told it was reserved, so I respected that and took a different seat. They even gave me their WiFi password, clearly acknowledging that I was working.
However, while I was eating and on a call with my boss, a waitress suddenly approached me and asked me to turn off my laptop, saying that working wasn’t allowed in my seating area and that I needed to move to the window seat. I understand if they have policies, but the café was completely empty at the time. If they already knew I was working, why didn’t they seat me in the correct area from the start? The inconsistency and unnecessary interruption made the experience frustrating.
On top of that, being asked to stop working mid-meal made me feel rushed, and I had to cut my meal short in a hurry, which negatively impacted my experience.
That being said, the food here is genuinely great. I also had a small conversation with the same waitress who had asked me to move, and she shared some insights about the front-door flower offerings, which was interesting. I appreciated that moment, but I still feel that the overall service and management could be improved to provide a more seamless...
