Dang! cookies have been the talk of the town in my neighborhood, and I finally had the opportunity to try them out. As someone who isn't particularly fond of chocolate, my experience was mixed. I opted for the peanut butter cookie, only to find a layer of chocolate beneath the peanut butter filling. Unfortunately, this caught me off guard as there was no clear indication on the packaging or menu that chocolate was a significant component of this particular cookie. The unexpected taste of chocolate overshadowed the peanut butter flavor, leaving me slightly disappointed.
On the other hand, my wife decided to go for the classic chocolate chip cookie from Dang! and her reaction was not as enthusiastic as we had anticipated. She remarked that the cookies did not live up to the hype that some of our American friends had set. Comparisons were made to the renowned Insomnia Cookies, and it was clear that Dang! cookies did not quite match up in her opinion. This lack of novelty and exceptional taste left her underwhelmed with the overall experience.
Despite these individual disappointments, there are some positive aspects worth mentioning about Dang! cookies. One undeniable quality is the freshness and warmth of the cookies. Upon arrival, the cookies were soft and gooey, embodying that freshly-baked feel that elevates the entire experience. The texture was undeniably inviting, making each bite a comforting indulgence. However, it is essential to highlight that the dominant presence of chocolate in most of their offerings may not appeal to those seeking a diverse range of tastes and flavors in their desserts.
In conclusion, Dang! cookies undoubtedly excel in terms of freshness and texture, providing a delightful and satisfying treat for those with a penchant for warm, soft cookies. However, for those like myself and my wife who may not be keen on heavy chocolate flavors, the experience may fall short of expectations. While the cookies are well-crafted and undeniably popular among many, their reliance on chocolate as the primary flavor profile may limit their appeal to a wider audience looking for more diverse tastes in their...
Read moreDisappointing service. Ordered vegan and non-vegan cookies and they came stacked and melted onto each other. We had no idea which was which, there was simply no indication.
I asked them why did they pack vegan and non-vegan food together. Their reply on goFood was: “you should get extra packaging, otherwise we will pack them together!”
And that was an absolutely absurd reply because it shows that their staff and manager do not understand how to handle vegan food at all. I’m not sure if they cross-contaminate things on a regular basis from this reply.
Vegan and non vegan food should be separated by default - and you guys should include that in the cost, not put the responsibility on to your customers to know that you would otherwise pack them together. I’m happy to pay extra but I had no idea you guys would actually think it’s okay to mix vegan and non-vegan food for packing and delivery. It’s not okay, please get that right. I’m not vegan but I have an allergy so it actually matters a lot to me that I know the food I eat is safe.
We didn’t get a refund, and we will never come back here again. The cookies were overly sweet and my favourite is still Crumb House Legian - best cookies I’ve ever...
