Well I don’t think our waitress lady is understand what I request. I ordered 568.000idr Ojo de Bife Rib-eye 350gr for the main course and Beef Empanadas - chimi-curri as a starter. Clearly they have a chimicurri sauce for Empanadas and I asked the lady “can I get she chimicurri sauce too? She said yes” and I asked what else you have for the sauce, she was kinda confused, I try to help “black pepper? Mushroom?” She said “yes yes we have blackpepper” and I said “great please I would like the blackpepper and chimicurri” guess what? None of those sauces I requested are served. So did she actually understand what I said? Idk is she new there? She seemed kinda nervous and confused all the time. As well as when she explained me about the Empanadas, I asked what is it? She said “it’s a chopped beef and serve with something in the top” oh maybe something like beef tartar? She said “yes yes” and boom it was “croquettes kinda thing” or we called it Pastel in Indonesia, why is it so hard for her to explain to me? So annoying! And the steak came with one kind of garlic sambal and chili oil which is…okay this is weird, I’ve never seen any steak came along with garlic sambal and chili oil or maybe this is what Argentinian people do??? Eating steak witj sambal and chili oil? And please why she didn’t bring me the blackpepper sauce and chimicurri? Also, I asked to cut the steak into slices. Again, she didn’t address that to the kitchen staff and had to return the steak to slice them off. But alright, food was okay, price was alright, but the service is poor. Maybe I would come back...
Read moreDon Fernando exceeded our expectations at every turn. From the warm, jazzy dining room to the courteous and professional service staff to the exquisitely tender cuts of expertly grilled beef (we had the rib eye and skirt steak with the tastiest chimichurri sauces outside of Argentina) which melted in our mouths like the finest butter. Our decadent feast for 3 kicked off with beef empanadas, a masterful balance of crispy, thin crust and flavorful, juicy chopped meat. For our sides, we opted for hand-cut crispy, french fries, creamy, velvety mashed potatoes, and an arugula salad which was fresh and vibrant with generous shavings of parmesan and just a hint of olive oil and lemon to perfectly balance the richness of our steaks. And just when we thought we couldn't handle another bite, we simply couldn't resist splitting the creamy flan with a hint of dulce de leche to round out the best meal we've had in ages. The reason I didn't mention the wines is only because we were staving off head colds and didn't want to push our good fortune after a wonderful week in Bali. And to those who dare criticize the prices and/or the quality, all I can say is try expanding your travel radius and your palate. I'll never forget this dinner. Thank you Don Fernando for our...
Read moreOverall experience was good, ambience, staff were attentive and food came out in good time. Things we observed that could be improved on, bone marrow dish bread could be thicker, they were so thin without breaking that it could barely hold anything. And only 4 -5 PCs were given, we needed to request for more. We had the skirt and sirloin. Skirt was fine but sirloin was possibly too cold when the meat was cooked… the result, no outter char and the meat seemed almost steamed and chewy/watery as a result. We understand it’s hard to regulate meat temperatures but this step is crucial in delivery of good finished steaks. I was not able to flag this to the staff due to the company I had. But am offering sincere feedback. Mash potatoes was very stodgy and slightly cold when we received it. Flan dessert was oddly too sweet and milky, and almost chalky in taste and caramel sauce was not balanced. The highlight was the skirt steak and the croquettes. Very good although should consider more portions instead of just two (staff should advise portion sizes as this was slightly surprising) burratta cheese was very small with two small bits of lettuce: wines were good. Service staff...
