Island Bagels — Restaurant in Bali

Cute little place in Canggu with an apparent demand, following the Gojek drivers waiting to pick up orders! Their Bagel is, when compared to the same named item found in Deli's in New York of inferior composition, which does not mean that they are not tasty. I am aware the the authenticity of a real bagel is a subjective decision. For my taste and expectation their Bagel is too light (it even has airpockets) and the dough is unsalted.

The creation i tried (big breakfast) was generous& tasty in quantity and flavour. I particular liked the cramelized onions.

Absolutely legit bagel place in Canggu. You can get your bagels plain, breakfast, sweet or even some more specialty varieties. We had the nyc classic and yummy vegan. The former featuring some delicious cream cheese, smoked salmon, tomato, dill, capers and pickled red onion. Nostalgic flavours reminiscent of our time walking the streets of New York. We had a really pleasant experience at Island Deli, everything about it feels right. In my opinion, the quality of the coffee can’t be beat, I can’t say for sure what made it so amazing, but i guess it’s a combination of top shelf beans and a gifted barista.

The cafe itself is small and intimate, the decor light, bright and fresh, which matches the menu and friendly staff.

We plan on going back when ever we are in the Berawa area...
