Ithaka Ubud — Restaurant in Bali

Went there twice, because the Google reviews were great and it was the only restaurant next to my hotel in walking distance. First day, I ordered the pancake and asked for the coconut cream to put on the side. Pancake arrived covered in coconut cream, the pancake itself was still kinda raw and honestly one of the worst pancakes I've ever had. The next day I thought ok let's try again (because it was the only restaurant right next to my hotel for breakfast) and ordered avocado toast. Avocado tasted like nothing, bread was so thick and not tasty at all. Also had a Cappuccino which tasted just watery. Staff didn't pay attention to customer at all. I do not...

It used to be one of our favourite spots for lunch around Ubud quite a few years ago. Unfortunately after our last visit, we changed our mind as everything about it did not make up to our expectations. Firstly, the service is apologetic, as the waiter sits and just uses her phone most of the time, or stares at you while you eat. The vibe of the place is really low, it's all let down after years. Lastly, the food - tortilla de patatas hardly contain any potatoes, the smoothie bowls taste the worst we had around Bali (just like banana puree). What a gem of a place. The food was delicious and the staff mega friendly and smiley.

We had some traditional dishes in the evening with big portions and tasty food for good prices. The best juice I have had so far in Ubud and the smoothie bowl in the morning was honestly such a treat. Also great coffee!

The atmosphere was very calm and relaxed with good quality seating and tables, everywhere was clean and tidy and if we had been in Ubud for longer this would have become our main breakfast spot for sure.
