Uma Tiki Restaurant Ubud — Restaurant in Pulau Bali

Be cautious when booking in advance. My wife and I reserved the Romantic Dinner for Two through Klook about a month or two ahead of time. When we arrived, the staff didn’t seem aware of our booking. We explained multiple times that we had something pre-booked, but they still seated us at a regular dinner table with standard menus. Even after clarifying again that we had booked the romantic candlelight dinner, they didn’t adjust the setup—just handed us the special dinner menu at the same table. They rushed through the food explanation and then asked us to pay again. After explaining for the third time that it was already prepaid, they brought us to the reception area, where we waited 30 minutes while they searched for the reservation. Eventually, they told us they had no record of it and asked us to come back another night. Unfortunately, we had plans for the rest of our time in Ubud and couldn’t reschedule. I celebrated my birthday dinner at Uma Tiki Restaurant with my boyfriend, and it was incredible. We tried the rice paper rolls as a starter, and they were fresh and tasty. For the main course, we had Opor Ayam and Rendang Sapi, both delicious Indonesian dishes that we loved.

But the real star of the night was the Chocolate Cake. It was so good that I can't stop thinking about it! It was moist, rich, and just perfect. Seriously, it felt like the best chocolate cake I've ever had. Oh. My. Goodness. I still find myself dreaming about it days later. I swear, it felt like they had reinvented the chocolate cake itself haha

Had dinner here a couple of nights ago. Atmosphere is very nice and tranquil despite being right next to the road. Staff is super polite. Even the manager (sorry, forgot his name) came by and introducing himself. Lovely live guitar and flute music. However, food seems to be mediocre and in small portion as others have noted. Main reason for my 5-star is because as I walked back to my villa, the manager drove by on his scooter, stopped as he recognized me, and offered to give me a ride back to my villa. But, i declined since it’s only a short walk and I like to take a stroll in the cool evening. That was the epitome of local kindness in Bali.
