Superb experience! The food at Thara was exactly as described on the menu - the pictures did not lie. The selection spans beautifully from local Balinese flavors to refined European classics, and I tried both. The fish was prepared to perfection - delicately flambéed and cooked so that it remained juicy and tender inside. The tomatoes were impressively fresh, reminding me of those I tasted at the Mount Batur tomato plantations - just like in Italy. The juices were genuinely fresh-squeezed from ripe, well-selected fruits - healthy, and full of natural flavor. The service was another highlight: the staff are exceptionally professional, kind, and attentive. The restaurant is like Japanese-managed, with high level of precision and hospitality. The spacious dining hall sits away from the busy main street, offering a calm, relaxing atmosphere away from the noise - an oasis often needed in Canggu. Really nice place to have a really good breakfast, lunch or dinner. The people are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Always smiling. You'll feel very welcomed and well treated. They also have a nice, clean pool and the WiFi has 70 mbp+ which is better than most coworking spaces in the area. The location is good, as they are a few meters away from the next main street. However 2-3 times per minute a scooter may pass by and that's clearly audible. I'd still recommend this place as a nice alternative to stay for working with a headset. In the back of the area you have a lounge area where you can relax (near the pool). Music is not too loud and a mix of 80s rock, modern pop, easy vibes. In general, it's not too crowded. We had a fantastic experience at Thara! Our group of 17 booked last minute, and the restaurant was empty, making it the perfect setting for our gathering. While there was a bit of a wait for meals to come out, it was completely understandable given our group size and the lack of prior notice to the chef.

The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish exceeding expectations. We also had about four people with dietary requirements, and their meals were just as impressive. The team did a wonderful job accommodating us on such short notice, and we truly appreciated the warm hospitality.
