A Horrible Experience – Never Again!

I hate writing bad reviews however, my experience at LACALITA Canggu is somthing I have to talk about as I would never want anyone to go through what we did. My partner, our friend, and I were all struck with severe food poisoning after dining here – and one of us is now in the hospital on a drip. It’s incredibly upsetting to think that something as basic as food safety was so carelessly ignored.(we should of read the reviews beforehand, this is a common thing).

The food presentable and nice tasting but really it must have been contaminated. It didn't just ruin our evening; it ruined our entire next day of travelling home and for one of us, the effects have been far more serious. My friend is still recovering in the hospital, which is just terrifying whilst my partner has not been able to get up out of bed all day. To make matters worse, the service was lackluster at best. I would never, ever recommend this place to anyone. The risk of getting sick here is not worth it! – please do yourself a favor and avoid it at all costs. I can’t believe we put ourselves through this, and I’d hate for anyone else to suffer...

Avoid this restaurant! I had the vegetarian fajitas thinking they would be safe. Within hours, I contracted severe food poisoning. I did not eat in any other restaurant that night so I have no doubts that this is where I contracted it. I have been seriously unwell for multiple days.As a result, I had to pay for medical intervention and IV drips. I also lost two nights of accommodation in a different area that I was meant to travel to the next day and I had to pay for two nights additional private accommodation in Canggu. Therefore, the expenses and stress that eating at this restaurant has caused me are substantial. I have emailed both the marketing team and the restaurant email that is mentioned in their multiple food poisoning reviews below, however, I have received no response. All it takes is to look at the multiple other reviews to see that many other people have contracted food poisoning here. You would think that a restaurant that has received multiple complaints about food poisoning would have tried to resolve the issue to protect its customers. This is really irresponsible.
