Charada Korean BBQ — Restaurant in Bandung City

I must admit that this restaurant is by far the best Korean BBQ place I have ever tried in Indonesia. The place is kinda small and cramped. The queue was hideous - especially during weekends and public holidays. At one time we had to wait for an hour to get our table. The staff told us that we could make a reservation during weekdays when it's not busy or not during the school holiday season. But I guess it is no point making a reservation, we could just turn up and get our table.

We'd been there twice, and we always get our table on the second floor. There were no proper sitting. It felt like we were eating at a Japanese restaurant, except that we didn't sit on our own feet. I would say that this place may not be an elderly-friendly place to be.

The food was good but it's a non-halal restaurant. Although they also sell halal meat, like chicken and beef. I'm not the type of person who likes to cook and wait to eat. But the food was worth the effort. This place seems to always have queue, so you'd better come early to eat, especially on weekends. Otherwise, you gotta wait for quite a long time. I went there on Saturday early afternoon, and yeah I had to wait but fortunately the queue wasn't long. I suggest you to come early as well because of the parking lot. Charada is the perfect spot if you’re craving delicious and affordable pork in Bandung. The meat is perfectly marinated and turns out tender and flavorful once cooked. I was genuinely surprised by the quality of the meat, especially considering how affordable it is.

They also offer a variety of side dishes, including kimchi and vegetables. Their sambal is on the sweeter side, though I wish they had a spicier option. However, the staff was very accommodating and provided jalapenos and chili cuts upon request.
