We came a bit late to the resto at around 7 PM due to the busy schedule & traffic re-directing, but thanked to the nice Resto contact- person namely Ms. Lela, we have ordered some food 30 minutes before arrival, and still can order more until 7.30 PM, so all the food came on-time. The foodies also came in a beautiful presentation & all were delicious!👍😍. We ordered : for the entrée : 'aligot', ' risolle' & 'croquette' that were all their special menus👍😍, followed by 'champignonsoep met kaas beignet', 'erwten soep' and then for the main menu : 'Bistik Oma', "Bratwurst met Stamppot', '''worstje met aardapel". For the drinks: in addition to their special tea, we ordered 'classic affogato', 'stroopwafel met apple compote', 'tropical berry' & 'tropical yellow' ... and we had a 'happy tummy' for all !👍😍🤗. They also extended their operational- time until 9 PM for us👍😍, so, what more could you expect😍😍😍. Many thanks & will definitely come back👍😍.
Oohh.....but I need to send this for your service improvement in handling take-away Customers : and esp. for Ms. Shilva - who handled the request of my sister for her order today, Sept.19, 2021; please do improve your way of treating & serving 'take-away' customers because in addition to the late response, you kept on asking for a pre-transfer of monies and after that, then the resto is willing to prepare for the food ordered?? I don't think this is a good & polite response to us as we are a repeating-customer who had spent quite a lot on our last dine-in visit. For the resto Manager : I think you have to be wise in serving a loyal customer and please do change your selling policies so that your customers will not be aggrieved by the treatment of your Marketing...
Read moreI am not one to often write reviews, but my experience at Keuken van Elsje was so exceptional that I feel compelled to share it with others. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who appreciates authentic flavors and friendly service.
Keuken van Elsje specializes in Dutch cuisine, and their Bitterballen and Bistik Lidah dishes were outstanding. The Bistik Lidah, in particular, is a standout dish that is prepared according to a traditional recipe that has been passed down for generations since 1920. Despite the lengthy cooking time, the taste of the dish exceeded my expectations. I truly appreciate the care and attention given to using fresh and high-quality ingredients, rather than pre-made food that is simply heated up.
The Bitterballen was another highlight of my dining experience at Keuken van Elsje. The crispy exterior was perfectly paired with the soft, savory filling inside. The attention to detail in the preparation of this dish is evident in its wonderful flavor.
What truly sets Keuken van Elsje apart from other restaurants is the friendly and welcoming service. The staff were attentive and made me feel right at home. They were knowledgeable about the menu and were happy to make recommendations based on my preferences.
In addition to the delicious food and great service, the atmosphere of Keuken van Elsje is also noteworthy. The interior is cozy and charming, with tasteful decorations that add to the overall ambiance of the restaurant.
Overall, my experience at Keuken van Elsje was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for authentic Dutch cuisine in a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. I will definitely be returning to try more of their...
Read moreIt's easy to find but the road is pretty small, better use smaller car.
Was here almost dawn, quite packed and waiting list for around 10 minutes. The servers are friendly and relatively fast.
Here's I rate the foods:
Chicken Stew 2/5 Not worth the price. It said it cooked for 12 hours with seasoning and bla bla bla. In reality, it's just roasted chicken with mushroom sauce, served with mashed potato and salad. I expect it to be rich and unique but no, it's just regular juicy chicken.
Bitterballen 3/5 I'm not sure if it was authentic but it was filled with ragout-like filling with few smoked beef. But the sauce is so refreshing, if it was not served with this, it'd solid 1/5. It was crispy outside and also served with salad.
Risol 3/5 You can expect regular risol but it was crispier. The filling also regular egg, smoked beef and mayo. The mayo saved the whole risol. It was savory, sour and a hint of sweet. It was served with salad as well.
Aligot 4.5/5 Most worth food I bought. With the price, it's really worth it. You get what you see. It was stretchy but not chewy. But it can fed for 4 people so I suggest to order it if you bring your family. The taste is good, not salty and very cheesy. Good for meat side dish.
Mogambo Tea 5/5 Winner of my order. It's literally the best tea that I've ever had. It was very refreshing although served in hot. You can smell the passionfruit, apple and hint of other fruit. If you don't like it plain, you can add sugar on it. It's like fruit tea you can find in Indomaret but it's just better.
Overall, I won't recommend this place. I won't be back because it's overrated. But if you want to try Dutch food, you might...
