This is definitely not a non-smoker friendly establishment, and so I'd say it's not kids friendly, not baby friendly, not pregnant women friendly, and so on. As I was arriving, the waiter asked if I wanted a table in a non-smoking or smoking area, and I confidently said "NON-SMOKING" because I couldn't care less about instagram worthy pix if it meant I have to be a secondhand smoker. So, the waiter immediately pointed out at the table closest to the entrance door & clearly there are only 5 tables set closest to the entrance door or the reception area. As I was sitting down & looking through the menu, I could smell heavy smoke coming from somewhere, and so I shared my concern to one of the waiters & he just said "Oh, I don't know". In the height of my aggravation, I made it clear to him that the door separating non-smoking area and smoking area should always be closed, to which he said, "Okay". But throughout my 1,5 hours stay, I would say there was no difference between the 2 areas, they may as well make the whole place a smoking area. Actually, the only place that is free of smoke & smells nice is the toilet. Given the choice, I'd rather whatever I ordered in the toilet. I could see the waiters were whispering, probably about how demanding I may have seemed (I could obviously sense it because they were standing in front of me as my table was right in front of the point where they take food & drink from the chef, they ocassionally made a stare). People would think I'm blowing this matter out of proportion, but I take my culinary experience seriously. If I'd known that I'm going to have my meal in a place where there is no rule regarding smoking / no smoking, I would not make a big deal about it as I have made a choice to be in that kind of place, but this place claims to be family friendly, kids friendly, cozy, etc. and none is associated with having to inhale smoke from ciggies while eating. Anyway, to be fair, the fries was great, but I could get similar kinda fries from a...
Read moreI ordered Margarita Pizza, Chicken Risotto, Mushroom Soup, Ice Chocolate, Peach Kombucha & Klepon Cake.
Compared to any other pizza places in Bandung, this place is top contender, the taste is delicious & the price is sensible.
the Roasted Chicken Risotto is just tasted normal, nothing special, the chicken itself juicy, the risotto tasty, but nothing special.
Mushroom Soup is the GOAT of that night, the bread stick was top notch, and the soup is just heavenly delicious. Best Mushroom Soup I've had in Bandung
Ice chocolate & Kombucha are the God & Godesses of that night. The chocolate is bitter by default, you dont need to ask for no sugar, and that's how I like my chocolate to be served, heavy, cold & bitter. The chocolate powder itself imo is the best compared to any other places I've been. The Kombucha is sour enough to make you feel refreshed.
The Klepon cake was good but nothing special, just like any orher cake, I guess I have to try other cakes there.
Service wise, it's worth the price, that's all I can tell. And the place is so beautiful, that you'll feel not wanting to leave.
The only thing that iritates me is the parking area, it's...
Read moreI’ve visited three Noah's Barn cafes around town, and I’d rank this one as the second best. That said, it’s far from disappointing—I actually like this place.
The atmosphere is decent, offering a comfortable space to relax, but what truly sets this cafe apart is the quality of its food and, most importantly, its coffee. The coffee here is exceptional—rich, flavorful, and brewed to perfection. My personal favorite is the orange espresso (or espresso orange), a unique and refreshing twist on a classic that any coffee lover would appreciate.
One drawback, however, is the outdoor seating area at the back. While it features a garden, which sounds lovely in theory, it unfortunately becomes a breeding ground for mosquitoes. This can be a bit of a nuisance, though the cafe does provide mosquito repellent, which helps to some extent. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of if you’re planning to sit outside.
Overall, this cafe is a great spot, especially for coffee enthusiasts. The exceptional coffee makes it worth a visit despite the minor...
