Railway Coffee - Kebon Jukut — Restaurant in Bandung City

A casual, lively coffee shop that offers view of trains entering and exiting Bandung St. Hall Railway Station amd affordable menus.

The beverages sold here is affordable. My favourite (perhaps others too) is the Railway Signature, a 16K IDR iced coffee. It's a mix of a coffee shot, lots of milk, sweet palm sugar and of course ice cubes, served in 16 oz (?) plastic glass. The taste is OK. The coffee is not strong. But, don't worry. It also has other coffee based menus that I assure you have stronger, authentic flavour of coffee. It's my third visit and I have ordered 6 glass of Railway Signature so far 😁 It also has foods and snacks in its menu.

The cafe is not so spacious. However, it has many seats including arm chairs, low, and high chairs and some tables including large, small, and sharing table. It has both indoor and outdoor seating; smokers and vapers welcome here. It has warm lighting and casual ambience. It has WiFi connection and enough power outlets; It is great for working with your laptop or gaming together on mobile phone with your friends. It has small parking lot for about 30s motorcycle and a few cars. There's no valet parking and only guarded by a parking attendant.

The thing that makes me really like this place is the view. It has uncommon view of busy railroad tracks as trains will passing by, entering and exiting Bandung St. Hall Station. I am a railway enthusiast and to be able to hang out in this kind of place is gold for me. I really recommend this to other fellow railway enthusiast out there. The lower outdoor seating offers the best view of the railroad. The second one is the upper outdoor seating.

However, a little thing that bothering me is the lack of clear ordering queue. There are people who usually do queue jumping here and the staff still serve them even though knowing them cut the line. I hope it will be better in time. It is not wheelchair accessible; there's only stairs as access to the ordering place. There also no fan or any other air ventilation in the outside seating. It can be a little bit warmer at noon and the smoke from ciggaretes and vapes stay longer.

This cozy coffee shop offers you a lot of choices from coffee to non-coffee beverage and also the food. The menus is worth the price. I've came several times to here and found my favourite.

For coffee, I prefer the lighter one and they have Caramel Signature. The taste between coffee and caramel are also balanced. If you're non-caffeine drinker, I'd suggest the Railway Chocolate and it tastes good as well! Their Crispy Mushroom is awesomely good and the Chicken Wings is superb! Must try! I sometimes ordered Spaghetti Carbonara or Aglio Olio too. Lastly, I love Matcha Affogatto ice cream! ^^

The place not really big but still comfy enough to chill, hangout, working, or suitable for a quick stop. The ambience made me to stay longer here as it provided electrical plug nearly everywhere and Wi-Fi. They have separate room for non-smoking customers which is good. I stopped by here after work due to curiosity as I passed by almost everyday, and found out this coffee shop really comfy and somewhat homey. Not only strategically located, parking here was also easy (probably because of weekdays).

The ambiance provoked me to stay longer here as it provided electrical plug nearly everywhere and had fast Wi-Fi connection. The seating was spacious enough for an individual or a group. The staffs were friendly. Lavatory was clean. Unfortunately no praying room was available.

What surprised me, the price was really affordable for a spacious coffeeshop. It started from Rp16k and what I loved about this place is that they have a wide range selection of food and beverages such as chocolate, tea, and juices that I love to try next time.
