Sushi Tei cabang Sukajadi, lokasinya di mall Paris Van Java, Lantai 1 (Sky Level). Dari lantai dasar bisa naik lift ke SL, ada di satu level dengan mini zoo-nya PVJ. Tempatnya cukup nyaman dan cuma tersedia non-smoking room. Ruangannya adem, seat-nya banyak. Kalau lagi gak ada promo sih jarang waiting list ya, dengan waktu makan dibatasi 60 menit setelah hidangan lengkap. Sama seperti semua cabang Sushi Tei lain, di sini menyediakan aneka makanan Jepang seperti sushi, sashimi, yakimeshi, aneka ramen soba dan udon, aneka soup, sampai aneka dessert dan minuman. Di cabang ini tidak ada conveyor belt sushi.
Saya seringnya pesan sashimi di sini karena seafood di sini cukup segar dan cepat sampainya. Konfigurasinya selalu sama, es serut (to make it stay fresh), tsuma (daikon strings/lobak serut), sama daun shiso, terus ikan/seafood isi tiga atau lima slices on top. Kadang ada irisan timun dan potongan lemon juga. Di sini juga disediakan shoyu dan wasabi parut sebagai condiment, dan gari (acar jahe serut) sebagai palate cleanser, di atas setiap meja.
Saya kayanya udah pernah nyobain semua ikan-ikanan dari salmon, maguro (tuna), shima-aji (striped jack mackerel/Trachurus japonicus), hirame (flounder/subordo Pleuronectoidei), hamachi (Japanese yellowtail/Seriola quinqueradiata), sampai mekajiki (todak/swordfish/Xiphias gladius), pernah juga nyobain tako (gurita) dan nama hotate (scallops). Favorit saya hamachi, paling enak menurut selera saya, warnanya lebih gelap dengan guratan khas berwarna merah kecoklatan di ujungnya. Firm, oily, heavier than shima-aji, and very flavourful it is like a flavour bomb, exploding in your mouth from the first bite. Saya gak perlu tambahan shoyu atau wasabi, karena suka rasa aslinya. Dulu pesan satuan bisa dapat 5 slices, sekarang cuma 3 kayanya. Mekajiki is my second favourite, flavourful like hamachi, but isn't as heavy. Menurut saya mirip hamachi kalau intensitas rasanya di-nerf sedikit. Less intense, pleasant, clean, and overall delicious. Karena fans berat sashimi, menu favorit saya adalah Biei, isinya 5 ikan (salmon, maguro, hamachi, shima-aji, dan mekajiki, masing masing tiga potong, dalam plate super besar. It's beautiful like a flower bouquet. Lain kali saya mau nyobain otoro, salmon belly, sama uni-nya.
Saya juga sudah dua kali nyoba sushi di sini, dua-duanya Sushi Moriawase (assorted sushi), yaitu Hodaka dan Maguro Yoridori. Hodaka ini isinya 8 pieces yang terdiri dari 7 nigiri yaitu maguro (tuna), ika (cumi-cumi), salmon, amaebi (sweet shrimp/udang), tako (gurita), kanimaki (surimi), jo unagi (belut), dan satu gunkan: tobikko (telur ikan terbang). Satu lagi saya pernah coba Maguro Yoridori yang adalah aneka sushi tuna, satu maguro nigiri, satu otoro, satu negitoro gunkan, dan enam tuna maki. Satu lagi pernah dapat free sushi juga waktu ulang tahun ayah saya, berupa maki dengan toping mayonnaise dan salmon slice. Sushi-nya semua oke, tapi emang saya dasarnya kurang suka sushi jadi ya biasa aja.
Pernah juga nyoba chuka kurage (acar ubur-ubur, kurang tau spesiesnya apa), enak banget, renyah, kenyal, gurih karena kemungkinan pakai minyak wijen. Yasai Misoshiru juga enak, sayuran dan jamur serta tahu berpadu dalam kuah berdasar pasta miso, sangat cocok sebagai penutup hidangan sashimi. Karage Curry Rice juga enak, karinya terasa, nasinya banyak, karagenya garing di luar lembut di dalam, ayah saya juga suka hahaha. Pernah juga nyoba Zaru Soba, ini semacam mie dingin, dengan mie soba yang terbuat dari gandung kuda (buckwheat). Disajikan dengan kuah soysauce dingin dan negi yang terpisah, soba-nya oke, kuahnya juga gurih, salty, and refreshing, cocok saat cuaca panas. Chawanmushi-nya juga enak, berbeda dengan custard lain yang manis, chawanmushi justru rasanya gurih, ada creamy-nya juga, silky, and delightful. Ocha di sini gratis refill.

I've ordered Salmon Skin, Agedashi Tofu, Tuna Salad Crispy Mentai, Salmon Crispy Aburi and Tuna Salad Crispy
The Salmon skin dan agedashi tofu was perfect, however something wrong with the Tuna Salad Crispy Mentai, Salmon Crispy Aburi and Tuna Salad Crispy.. the taste and texture consistency was not the same as I used to eat in Jakarta. It turns out the rice was very dense and heavy so its blindsided the taste of salmon and tuna.. I asked the waiter why its different, he said its because of the "All You Can Eat", I was shocked that why would you differentiate with the original menu/ taste. I still hoping that is not the real answer, but I give 3 star for his honesty, still wondering what if I ordered the reguler and not the "All You Can Eat" Promo.. will it taste better? too bad I have to give 1 star for the food. Hope only in Sushi Tei PVJ 👎🏾 🤮 I regret not...

10 years ago, Sushi Tei was place you could reliably go to for good quality Japanese food. That quality has since gone downhill and the portion sizes have shrunk. From what we ordered.
The rice used is hard, and no longer sticky. A huge downgrade from the rice served years ago, and an issue with almost all dishes we received
The Inari skin tastes good, but the rice used is terrible.
The sushi roll that was meant to be crunchy was soggy
A salmon sushi I took from the broken "conveyor belt" had a piece of Bakso on the top, and tasted only like fried bakso and rice.
The salmon skin was slightly burnt.
The ramen doesn't taste significantly better than Indomie.
The negitoro don took 45 minutes to serve (for minced raw fish on rice? seriously?) And the rice, again, was not suitable for this dish.
