Starbucks Bayfront — Restaurant in Batam City

On 16 June at 11.30am, while we were waiting for our drinks at the counter, we saw that the female barista accidentally dropped one of the cups in her rush to prepare one of the drinks. To our horror, she prepared the drink and served it to the customer using the same dirtied cup. Without her knowledge, the customer had seen the barista drop the cup and requested for the barista to remake her drink in a new cup. While doing so, the barista dropped another cup but put it back onto the stack of cups, thus contaminating other cups in the process. This is definitely a hygiene issue that needs to be addressed and fixed by the management as it could lead to serious consequences and the loss of patrons. We sincerely hope that this issue will be fixed and the staff can take better...

Dropped by Starbucks Bayfront for a quick caffeine fix and ordered a tall iced Americano and a venti iced Americano. Both drinks were well-prepared — strong, smooth, and refreshing, just the way I like them. Perfect pick-me-ups, especially in Batam’s humid weather.

The location is convenient with a clean and comfortable seating area. Staff were friendly and service was relatively quick despite it being a busy time. Great spot to cool down, catch up on messages, or take a break from exploring.

Very bad attitude of the staff with constant rude expression on the face, looks like they are not much interested to have customer in the restaurant. got our one of the drink with a dead insect under the cup cap, though they replaced the drink when reported. no greetings or smile at the counter and also it was hardly 5 min to sit there (and planning to order something since we had a ferry in an hour to catch) and they simply approach us and asked very rudely if we are ordering anything or just sitting there...
