KOHI 91•C Exotic Cafe — Restaurant in City of Medan

A nice and cozy café. Being outside mall with connecting door to Suan Bakery where you could select a variety of cookies, cakes or bread to accompany your coffee was an added value. But, what makes a coffee shop great is the coffee itself. Kohi 91-c offered a selection of beans from inside and outside Indonesia, as well as diverse methods of preparation. In this visit, I asked for Colombian coffee in French Press. I was disappointed that I had to go back to the barista to remind him about my order. At least 10 minutes had passed since I saw the coffee and hot water inside the press (Yes! To my horror.) I pointed out that it was way too long for a French Press preparation: excuses were provided, but still I was served the overbrewed and burned coffee. I was wondering if the diverse preparations were only there to impress. I wish that the barista and the persons attended the customers had been well trained about coffee...

Visited late afternoon on a weekday. The gentleman at the cashier is very hospitable and did amazingly with recommendations.

Place is small yet cozy, and the cafe is directly connected to Suan's (a local bakery that has been around for decades now). Low tables with cushions on mezzanine and a part of the 2nd floor are very popular and always occupied, but the normal tables, one of which we picked were pretty comfortable too. After paying for your order at the cashier, you get a table number to place at the table you sit, and your order will be delivered by the staff.

I had iced dirty matcha (matcha-espresso mix with palm sugar) and choco lava cake. Both are good. Serving size I'd say is worth the somewhat above average price range. Choco lava cake has brownies-like crumbly texture, not sickeningly sweet and goes well with the...

The place is small but great and cozy. It is connected with pastry and bakery shop on the left side. With nice dan great interior design, you will enjoy the ambiance.

They provide espresso based coffee and manual brew single origin. But they only provide single origin or light roasted blend arabica from abroad (might be only at that time). I order their manual brew coffee and the taste is great!!! The price is average for international single origin.

They also sell their espresso blend. I forget what blend they are. If you order, they will pack it.
