Great place and my go-to comfort food. For the past 3 years I’ve always trusted Kakiang Bakery for birthdays or celebratory cakes. Their cakes are not too sweet, which is the highest compliment you’ll ever hear from Indonesian moms. Surprisingly, they do pasta really well too. I usually order their green carbonara, but the napolitan also hits the spot for me. Now, GET THEIR STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE. Even if you’re not in the mood for it, you need to get it in your system. The sweet-sour kick from the strawberries, the fragrance, the delicate cream, and how light the cake is all come together perfectly. Their mille crepes are also banging. The cream is so fluffy that finishing a massive slice never feels like a problem. Go for the tiramisu or matcha if you like a little hint of bitterness in your cake.

Perfect match for ambience on a rainy day or at dusk. The AC can be a bit too cold though, so keep that in mind. I’d also recommend choosing the wooden chair. If you’re the type who gets easily annoyed or particular about how you sit while eating, the sofa section won’t be for you. I am quite a fan of this bakery's product but rarely come to their place because it's quite far from my place, but i never regret my visit yesterday! The place from outside is very quite, dreamy and also intimate cafe, yet the inside is quite aesthetic actually. They have showcase that is displaying their baked goods and cakes, might ask them if what you like is not displayed, some cakes or bread are quite popular so they run out quick. Me and my s/o ordered one strawberry tart and the legendary vanilla Mille crepes, and it was AMAZING. If you are not a fan of sweets but still want to impress others, this place has the most balanced and rich flavoured cake. Totally in love with their signature Strawberry Cake 💕 it’s everything a cake should be: not overly creamy, fresh, and perfectly light. One slice can make you full, yet you’ll still crave another bite, hahaha. I’m not even a big cake fan, but if it’s Kakiang’s, I’m all in.

Their Tiramisu and Mille Crepes are also solid picks. Maybe the price is a bit higher compared to other places, and the presentation isn’t super flashy, but trust me.. the flavor absolutely delivers.
