Go elsewhere for your Starbucks treat!
I’ve been savage here with my rating for good reason. Starbucks throughout Indonesia, indeed the world, has high standards. They are dependable.
Both drinks, ice chocolates, had almost half a venti of ice. A disgraceful and bleeding obvious penny pinching strategy.
Look at the lamentable iced chocolate with whipped cream I uploaded. The flat lid on the venti destroyed it and ensured that most of the chocolate topping was stuck to the lid and effectively lost.
They ran out of lids? No! I uploaded another iced chocolate, ordered concurrently, where a domed lid was attached.
But in the second drink there’s also a problem! Note the lack of whipped cream. A domed lid was barely necessary.
Hopeless quality. I watched as this debacle unfolded. There was a staff member standing nearby who could have corrected the girl who attached the lid. And she could have been alerted to the lack of whipped cream.

Read moreThe entrance to get on in is not good. You go through a door to the extreme left off the shop, forced to squeeze past Starbucks merchandise, then forced past the counter to purchase before you can take a seat. The glass wall completely shuts you off from the mall. Then to make matters worse they seem so proud telling you that your coffee has travelled thousands of miles on a huge wooden board above the kitchen area. It appears Starbucks didn’t get the memo about cutting down the miles to help conserve resources.
So you go in and order. You can’t go get a seat… you know why? Because they’ll make your coffee, frappe and leave it at the end of the bench. We sat outside and realised they don’t call you hear, no pager, nothing.
Would I go again? No. Walk through the doors to the outside. Through their garden area and straight outside. Take 80% off the Starbucks price and get 100% better service straight...

The service is good. Just like all trained Barista, they all are friendly and able to engage with customers.
The place is okay, I won't blame the store if at one point of time it could be filled with a lot of people. The inside store is great for working on your laptop, or meeting friends, or even just wasting time on your coffee (or tea) and book. The outdoor, in the other hand, is just okay. It is too narrow and sometimes it's hard to walk by a bunch of people hanging around at one spot.
Please, Indonesia is doing a great green campaign, in which Bali limits the use of plastic products. So if you mind drinking with paper straws, bring your own straw if you have one.
