If had the choice, would not even give 1 Star..
Been 3 times before, great food, a bit pricy but all in all, we came away with fully satisfied tummys... until now, today...
We were the only customers which is surprising, based on supposed popular times being 6pm... we ordered our usual, and asked one of the friendly girls for A Chicken Vindaloo, very spicy please with extra sauce as we found the curries to sometimes be a bit dry..
The food came and started to tuck into the Vindaloo... there was no spice at all, nothing... so we kindly asked one of the girls if we could speak to the person who cooked the dish to explain the minor issue... after a few minutes after seeing heated discussions between staff and who we now know is the supposed owner, Dewi, the woman in question, stomped over to our table and told us it was our fault because we told the chef / cook that we did not want spicy...
Clearly their was a communication issue but up to that point and statement, we were absolutely shocked with this womans attitude, her name is Dewi, the Owner! and after a heated blame game, she promptly stormed off! Without even an apology!
For us, it was not about the dish after that... it was attitude... She said they were full all the time, so i added photos to this post... make your own mind up, as well as a receipt for over 400,000 IDR the most expensive meal we have had so far with a healthy dose of attitude, rudeness and arrogance! Nice.
We will state that the 3 young waitresses were very nice and very apologetic for the owner of the business... we assured them it was not their fault and we left without them losing face and embarissed by the whole episode.
Obviously we will not go back, and we actually live in Bali for many years, we are not tourists that get back on a plane and forget... we are in the same service industry. Shame on you.

Read moreDecided to visit while on holiday from the UK. It's a nice place, very clean and spacious with big, wide tables so you get lots of space. It was a bit too warm and humid to do the full Monty of poppadoms & pickles, starter and main course with rice and naan so we settled for poppadoms & pickles and a main each with one rice and one naan between two. I ordered tandoori chicken, my partner ordered chicken vindaloo. Tandoori was served as a thigh and a breast and was lovely and well seasoned, vindaloo was a bit of a disappointment apparently. He's an ex-squaddie so vindaloo needs to be seriously spicy (it is a British invention after all). This wasn't, and was heavy on potato and quite light on chicken, which I'm told was rubbery and dry. Gets four stars even though we probably won't call back because the girls serving us and doing all the work were absolutely amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Worth a visit, but... if you order the vindaloo, or if you want something very spicy, go to the next level and ask for it to be "very spicy" to avoid any disappointment - They will ask you when they take your order,...
Read moreVery average indian food really. Seems there is actually no good indian food available in Bali. At least for those who know indian cuisine. They charge rice extra. Ok so far. But when we asked why we are charged a quite high price for basmati rice if we only get common balinese rice, the managing lady got quite agitated and first said that it was jasmine rice than admitted that there was actually no basmati rice available in bali. (Though it was in her menu for 18.000 rupiah) later she started to yell around in the kitchen to her staff letting out her anger. Was not so nice to have to hear that too after finding out that you actually get cheated about what you order and...
