Warung Ketut — Restaurant in Denpasar Selatan

This little restaurant houses one of the most dishonest money changers in Sanur. I read on the news today that an investigation is happening into the money changers in Sanur and I am pleased to hear it. After being ripped off by this money changer I decided not to spend any money in Indonesia, besides food, no clothes, no shopping, no tourist trips, no massages, and no spa or nail treatments. The money changer took money from all the local businesses around him, I hope he is happy about what he did to his neighbors, and I am sure he had a good laugh about it with his mates. Tried this Quiet restaurant after reading the reviews. Was quite disappointed ☹️

Food was average at best. Avoid their steak (overcooked despite asking for meeting done) and Green Curry chicken with rice. Only the Balinese pork chop was acceptable. Pricey.

Same budget can get you better food at the restaurants along the beach or Icon mall. We were the only guests during our meal there....should have taken this as an indicator to give this place a miss. 😢

I guess this is my mistake. I callled in and checked the menu for beef rendang. There was only chicken rendang and I said thanks but I will look elsewhere. The old bloke said we do beef rendang our style. I should have walked but he convinced me. Well it was tough strips of overcooked meat mixed with vegetables. He put down a plastic sauce bottle filled with chilly and said to add it if I wanted spicey. My second to last night in Bali and I screwed the meal. I am gutted. but...
