I dont understand how they manage the rating of 4.8. You will regret it if you visit the place purely based on that rating. I ordered a lobster and they served one without hands. I asked one of the servers why it has no hand. And she failed to explain. she just said they get lobsters from aquarium nearby. I didnt want to make a scene in front of my family so i said ok and kept eating. When we finished, she approached us and asked how the food was. I mentioned again about the missing hands and she said sorry and brought her coworker. I didnt undertand why the lobster issue needs another person. Anyway she said the lobster was normal and suggested me to visit to aquarium with them. Why should i waste my time with my family and follow them? I am pretty sure the lobsters there are all fine. No point of seeing them myself. At this point, they brought the "manager" even if i never asked them to. The manager was a big guy and he almost threatened me to go with him to see the lobsters in aquarium. I said no several times but he insisted in front of my family. I kept telling them i didnt like the food(and they didnt provide any utensils for the lobster) but i just wanted to pay for the foodams and leave. But the manager didnt let me. (Actually he wasnt even in the restaurant when i was eating. Someone called for him outside) You will experience something very strange in the restaurant. Never go with...
Read moreMy family and I were looking for a good breakfast spot in Sanur and we found Oliver's Place. While the prices aren't cheap or what you'd call "local," the food is so good and the portions large that it feels like a total steal—especially compared to prices back home.
The food was a hit with everyone. My wife ordered the Turkish Eggs and couldn't stop raving about them. They were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My two kids were thrilled with their own picks, but the real star of the show was the Peanut Butter Caramel Croissant. My son, who can be pretty picky, declared it "one of the best pastries he's ever had," which is about as high a compliment as he gives. I went for the Big Breakfast, and it was massive and super satisfying.
We did notice the prices seem to have gone up a bit since last year relative to what is posted in previous Google Reviews, but even with the new menu, it's a place we'd recommend. The quality and value are well worth it. If you're in Sanur and looking for a great start to your day, definitely check out...
Read moreCame here for dinner tonite with my wife based on the good reviews I've read here . We were not disappointed one bit , as it all started with the warm greeting we received when we arrived at this modern and spacious restaurant. Offering up mostly western fare there is local choices too. I chose the beef tenderloins and my wife had the barramundi. My tenderloins were outstanding , so tender accompanied with mash and grilled vegetables with a mushroom sauce. My wife loved her barramundi it was cooked just to her liking. I went for the Pisang Goreng for dessert and the wife had the frozen affogato . My Pisang was crispy drizzled with a sugar syrup , I added some ice cream to top it off...it was lovely . My wife enjoyed her affogato very much too. Throughout our visit the staff were very friendly and efficient , it was a very enjoyable visit and it deserves it's high...
