Wantilan — Restaurant in Denpasar Selatan

The restaurant is beautifully located by the beach with a great atmosphere. However, the staff and service were incredibly disappointing.

The sign outside clearly advertised "Happy Hours," so we went in and asked if it applied to all drinks. We were assured it did, When the bill came, we found out that happy hour only applied to Balinese drinks – a detail they conveniently failed to mention.

To make matters worse, they brought out food we never ordered. When we raised the issue about the drinks, they returned with a new bill offering only a 10% discount – far from what was advertised. The whole experience showed poor communication and unprofessionalism.

If you're drawn in by the sign outside, don’t bother. Enjoy the view, but avoid this place...

Nice music and environment. What's really good is that it's non-smoking. So many places have smokers but it's banned around the dining area which is great. You can go down and sit right on the beach and not suffer from smoke. Food was so, so, what I thought was chicken fillet was more of a sausage (could see the indentations that plastic twist makes at the end of the sausage). They said it was chicken breast, but it had wrapping indentations (lines) and a rounded end. Just like sausage does. Also...

For the cheap prices of the room at this hotel the buffet style breakfast was incredible! They served delicious tasty asian dishes (fried rice, noodles, kungpao chicken, gado2) and also have a selection of pastries (danish, croissant). They even have a nice egg station, bubur, and rotate between pancakes and waffles!

They served us balinese coffee aswell which was really good! Service was amazing, they were very kind and attentive to...
