In our mission to introduce specialty coffee to indonesian society, we found that bringing something extreme in flavor would impress most of the people easily and argopuro would be a perfect fit. This coffee is one of our version to resemble that coffee is not always bold and bitter, but also can be bold, acidic/fruity at the same time. This coffee have a strong fruity character, so you would found ripe mango and pineapple in black and in white you would find sweet mango wrapped in creamy mouthfeel. Because of it's strong character, we would recommend to try it in white (cappucino/latte). Enjoy! Region: argopuro, east java. Process: natural. Altitude: 1200-1400 masl. Variety: lini-s 795 & kartika. Tasting notes: black: ripe manggo, pineapple, round texture; white: sweet manggo, creamy mouthfeel.

I want to share my recent experience at Hayati roastery Jogja, which, unfortunately, was disappointing due to poor customer serviceđŸš©đŸš©đŸš© I came on April 3rd 2025, at around 2.30 PM.

When I first arrived, I simply asked, “Can you grind the beans?” Instead of a straightforward answer, I was immediately told to queue from the back—as if I didn’t understand basic etiquette. That was unnecessary.

After confirming that grinding was possible, I took my time selecting the beans I wanted to purchase. No issues here.

At checkout, I wanted to pay in cash because I needed small change for parking (which, by the way, this store doesn’t provide proper parking for). The cashier rudely responded, “If you’re paying with cash, sorry, but everyone else has been using QRIS.” I don’t see how that’s relevant. How others pay shouldn’t dictate my payment choice.

When I explained that I needed small change for parking, the cashier responded, “We need small change for giving back as well.” This was contradictory because they initially asked for exact cash but then said they needed change too. It was inconsistent.

The final straw was when I asked for my beans to be ground. The response: “We can, but sorry, it will take a while because WE PRIORITIZE DINE-IN CUSTOMERS” My total transaction was IDR 277,000 anyway—quite a significant amount for a coffee purchase in Jogja—yet I was made to feel like a second-class customer.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in a coffee shop. Staff should focus on serving customers politely and efficiently, not making them feel unwelcome. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I have no...

Hayati Specialty Coffee has been a consistent highlight of my visits to Yogyakarta for years. What truly sets them apart is the reliability of their coffee quality. No matter when I visit, I can always count on a perfectly brewed cup that satisfies my caffeine cravings.

Beyond the dependable quality, Hayati offers a delightful and engaging experience for coffee enthusiasts. The option to choose from a variety of beans for your brew is a fantastic feature. It transforms each visit into an opportunity to explore different flavor profiles and discover new favorites. On my most recent trip, I opted for the Timeless bean, and it perfectly matched my preference for a well-balanced and enjoyable cup.

Beyond the exceptional coffee, Hayati Specialty Coffee also provides a welcoming atmosphere. Whether I'm meeting up with friends for a chat or seeking a quiet corner to work independently, the ambiance is always conducive to a pleasant experience. It's a space where you can comfortably linger and enjoy your drink. For anyone visiting Yogyakarta who appreciates quality coffee and a comfortable setting, Hayati Specialty Coffee comes highly...

Good coffee, love the taste so much. Its interior has modern, minimalist taste, dominant in white colour. Non-smoking area is quite spacious, with bigger smoking area at the back. It also has satisfying speed of wi-fi connection. But please please please raise your cleaning standard of the toilet the availability of tissue and clean of toilet seat (also better if you put the sink outside the toilet) and regular cleaning of the praying room (your carpet, praying mat, mukena are smelly :(, and better to have the wudhu area outside the toilet to keep to the floor dry). You have already great place to sit, to have coffee, to work or chat with friends but I found the music is still way too loud. Music only as background please. Overall coffee is excellent, place is cozy, wi-fi is satisfying and it will be awesome if you please do more cleaning of the toilet and praying room, and lower the volume of...

A must-visit coffee shop in Jogja 👌 As someone who knows nothing about coffee, this place is a gem. They have an impressive selection of beans (they sell them too), and I was completely clueless. Asked the barista for a filter coffee with a hint of sweetness, and they recommended Banko Gotiti from Ethiopia. And I'm obsessed 😭 As a loyal fan of sweet drinks like butterscotch, caramel, mocha, I didn’t expect to fall in love with this. But I did. For the first time, I finished an entire cup of filter coffee. Zero leftovers. Definitely coming back for the beans. I was just passing through, so I only tried that one coffee, but my friend ordered their hot chocolate. Even without sugar, the chocolate had a natural sweetness and richness. If you’re in Jogja, this spot is a must-visit. Even if you’re just passing through, trust me, it’s worth the pit stop

A roaster cafe made for coffee lovers. As you walk in you will see glass tubes filled with different coffee beans. There’s some from ethiopia, java, etc. with all kinds of processing methods. The barista was very knowledgeable in explaining the beans as you can open the tubes and smelling them. Do you want mangos, spice, or cocoa aroma with your coffee. I also saw them as they were calibrating the machine and tested different shots. The roasting machine next door also adds to the serious coffee vibes. The space was nice and bright. Chairs were comfortable and the wifi was fast. There are no distractions of food so all you smell feel and taste is the little black drink.
