I had family dinner here for 8 pax. we really like the setting, as it polished yet also casual, very suited for family or business dinner.
We ordered: Gado-gado (8): I personally haven't tasted it, but all of my family said it was that good.
Dendeng Balado (6.5): to be honest the sambal was to my taste very good, but the dendeng itself bit too dry and not really flavorful, I think it will be better if they slice it a bit thinner so you can feel the crunch, cause if you have dry dendeng but had quite thick meat it can be difficult to chew.
cumi telur asin (9): of all the menu we ordered, we really like this one. It's not too thick and the squid tasted fresh and flavorful.
Udang Saus padang (8.5): the sauce was excellent!
-Fried Corn (10): I think this is their signature as I see lots of this menu photos in google maps, and it's well deserved because it was super good! I can reorder it again and again.
Es Campur (7): Taste exactly like sinar garut which is good, but overpriced.
Pisang goreng karamel (9.5): One of the best in their menu, We all really liked it
Beverages wise it was okay, quite expensive though.
Now let's talk about service, their service was nice and responded fast. All of their staff was attentive, but really downside is when we finished our dinner and went to smoke outside, they suddenly turned off the lights when we're there. I can understand this if they're closing, but there was even still had guests inside. At the very least they could inform us that they are closing, but they just turned off the lights. For a restaurant with this level, I believe they can do better. Luckily, the guard in the outside noticed and went inside to turn on the lights again. Maybe there was a little misunderstanding, but that was quite a bummer though.
Overall, we might revisit again because the food and the...
Read moreWent here with a group of friends for our monthly arisan. The place is not that big. Location is great. They asked us for deposit to guarantee our booking since it was breakfasting period. Understandable.
I like the interior, although a bit too dark for me. I get they try to create an ambience, but the type of sharing menus they offer, I can barely see the food. Must be a different ambience during the day..
They have a makeshift musholla on the small attic on the 3rd floor. The space has a bar counter and all wood interior. I think it was previously a bedroom converted to a small gathering space.
The food is good, though a bit too pricey. Must try is their jagung goreng keriting. Tasted nothing like I have never tasted before, in a good surprising way. The beef brisket rendang tasted like rendang padang but with beef that melts in your mouth.
Nasi liwet ikan asap the smoked fish flavor is too overpowering. The Sambal Kecombrang is grounded too smooth and I barely tasted the kecombrang. Kecipir & Kulit Melinjo, Oseng Genjer & Teri Medan was okay. Grilled chicken sambal hijau presentation & taste was great. The meat is tender and the meat is falling of the bone. Sate maranggi ayam tasted great but better with the sambal kecombrang than with the original sambal included.
Not a lot of food option for children. My friend ordered a sunny side up for her daughter because most of the food is too spicy.
The service is great, though. No empty plate was left too long on the table. But with a high price they offer, I think it's not a place I would visit regularly. I will only come back when I have...
Read moreAgneya Restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience centered around Indonesian cuisine presented in a beautiful, elegant manner. The restaurant quickly captivates diners with its aromatic, bold flavors that bring a modern twist to traditional dishes.
One of the highlights of Agneya is its warm, cozy ambiance. It's the perfect setting for both intimate dinners and business discussions, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The friendly and knowledgeable staff enhance the dining experience by offering excellent service and insightful recommendations about the menu.
However, a few patrons have noted a peculiar aspect of the restaurant's layout—only half of the space is utilized. The other half remains empty with the air conditioning turned off, which can create an eerie atmosphere, especially at night. This can be particularly disconcerting for guests heading to the restroom as they need to pass through this unused space.
In terms of food, Agneya excels in offering beautifully presented and delicious dishes. One standout dish that should not be missed is the salted fish fried rice. It comes highly recommended for its flavorful and satisfying taste.
Overall, Agneya Restaurant is a wonderful choice for those looking to enjoy well-crafted Indonesian cuisine in a sophisticated and pleasant setting. Despite the unused space issue, the excellent food and commendable service make it a restaurant...
