Arts Cafe at Raffles Jakarta delivered a satisfying brunch experience, marked by exceptional service, a culinary offering that exceeded expectations, and a captivating environment where subtle touches of art enliven the space.

This cafe isn't just about food and drink; it is a living art space/gallery. The space itself is adorned with subtle art pieces displayed on walls, including a striking Japanese-inspired mural which goes with the theme of the hotel. Even elements like the dividers between sections take inspiration from the human form, adding another layer to the cafe's artistic identity. Paying attention as you walk around reveals these thoughtful yet conspicuous design cues, making the visit a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.

What truly stood out was the excellent service. Despite initially noting limited vegetarian options on the menu, the server was incredibly accommodating and proactive. They promptly consulted with the chef, returning with several thoughtful suggestions, which truly elevated my experience.

For our food and beverage, I ultimately settled on the silken tofu dish with bok choy from the menu, accompanied by their signature tea.

Both the food and drink met my expectations, with the silken tofu dish being a particular highlight. It was exactly what I was hoping for: fresh, perfectly balanced, and light. The tofu itself was melt-in-your-mouth tender, beautifully complemented by the bok choy, and wonderfully enhanced by a sweet chili hot sauce. The signature tea was refreshing with some spicy notes.

The food and beverage, along with the accommodating service, made for a memorable and delicious meal. Considering the high quality of the food, the exemplary service received, and the unique artistic ambiance, the experience was definitely worth the price, though I should note it is on the steeper side.

Even at busy peak lunch hour, the noise levels remained moderate, making it easy to have conversations and meet with friends. It becomes wonderfully quiet post-meal times, too, for a more serene experience.

The team's willingness to go above and beyond to cater to specific dietary requirements, coupled with the high standard of the dishes and the enriching visual environment, made it a worthwhile indulgence.

I would recommend Arts Cafe at Raffles Jakarta for anyone seeking a high-quality brunch experience that seamlessly blends culinary delights with a vibrant appreciation for art. It's an ideal spot for a relaxed yet refined weekend treat, perfect for conversations with friends.

PS: It is also connected to Lotte Mall and had an entrance through the mall which I...

What easily could have been a 4 star rating, was marred by "bacongate".

Staying in The Artisan Suite in Room 220X. We were looking forward to having our breakfast. We arrived ten minutes before nine. The servers were prompt and polite. They gave us our table for 7(We invited other family members to come and join us for breakfast).

The food selection was good, not great but good. There is also a good selection of fresh fruit juice and yogurt drink. Specifically for the food apart from the normal selection of Asian porridge/congee and noodles, there are also waffles and pastries. You can even order an egg Benedict with your choice of either salmon or beef bacon.

This being an international buffet breakfast in a 5 star hotel, one would think that any food that is finished would be replenished without one asking for it. However this was not the case.

When we arrived, we took our scrambelled eggs and searched for bacon. On display was an empty plate of beef bacon, while if you want the normal pork bacon you had to order them through the servers or straight from the cook. So we waited for the beef bacon and also asked for the pork bacon. The servers promptly took out order. Half an passed, the beef bacon was not refilled and the pork bacon did not come. When we asked the servers, the bacon finally came. 6 measly pieces of pork bacon and at this time still no beef bacon was refilled.

Annoyed at having to wait for so long and only to be given 6 pieces of bacon, we went straight to the kitchen to order more. This was when we were told that they have no more pork bacon? Come on really? 5 star hotel buffet breakfast ran out of bacon!!! At this time, they also replaced and took out the beef bacon plate with a plate of mini hash browns....

Granted there are other food that we could still eat, but an iconic breakfast menu for us is the bacon and eggs. This is the first international buffet breakfast in a 5 star hotel running out of bacon. Thus the rating and a hint of...

I recently had the pleasure of revisiting the Arts Cafe at Raffles Hotel Jakarta as an invited guest, and I am delighted to share that my experience was nothing short of exceptional.

The improvements in food quality, presentation, and service were evident and truly remarkable. The food was superb, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The variety was impressive, and the flavors were spot on, reflecting the high standards one expects from a top-tier establishment.

It was clear that significant effort had been made to elevate the dining experience, and it paid off handsomely. The service was equally outstanding. The staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. Their genuine hospitality and professionalism made us feel valued and well-cared for throughout our visit.

I would like to extend a special thank you to Mr. Matias, Mr. Nicholas, Mr. Jordi, and the entire team for making our day truly unforgettable. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence were evident in every interaction, and it’s clear that they take great pride in their work.

Overall, this visit restored my faith in the Arts Cafe. The improvements in both the food and service have transformed it back into the exceptional dining venue I remembered from years ago. I highly recommend Arts Cafe to anyone looking for a memorable dining...

We had a great dinner at Arts! Love the theme, they just changed the theme of the Butcher's Table to American during my visit. The smoked brisket was great, love the chili con carne, beef tartare, wagyu burger, and sirloin. The pretzel rolls were great, very soft, yet still reminiscent of the German ones. On our second visit we went for the Sunday Brunch and it was amazing! The selections are plenty, and I love how their Indonesian food is great, maybe the best I've ever had in 5-star hotels. They also had Sashimi and Seafood on ice. The cheese & charcuterie table is definitely one you should visit. In addition to the classics, they have Ikura and Senbei crackers. Perfect appetizer to whip up. For the pastries, I highly recommend the St Honore, Honey Panna Cotta and Peanut Butter bar. You can also get bonbons, macarons, jelly candies, and cookies. Really appreciate that they have decaf, so that I can close my dinner with some hot coffee. Excellent food and excellent service. Props to the floor team, Pak Tonny and all the service staff. Do give them a visit, they change menus every month. On my third visit, I had the Chinese New Year brunch, they had premium ingredients like Black cod, abalone, wagyu striploin and lamb rack Chinese style.
