Sate Khas Senayan Lotte Shopping Avenue — Restaurant in Jakarta

When planning a “Buka Bersama” with colleagues, the challenge often lies in deciding where to eat—especially for a group of 16 people! 😅

Thankfully, Satay Khas Senayan, conveniently located near our office, accepted our last-minute reservation, making it the perfect choice for the occasion.

As one of my favorite restaurants, it felt great to break our fast during the rush hours at a place I trust for consistently delicious and classic food. We ordered a variety of dishes, including satay ayam, soto betawi, sayur asem, ikan gurame pesmol, tempe mendoan, tahu telor, and a few others. Every dish lived up to my expectations, and I was glad to hear my colleagues enjoyed the food as much as I did.

Despite the restaurant being packed, the service was impressively fast. The waiters were attentive, managing our many requests with professionalism. The ambience was also welcoming, and the restaurant accommodated our group by arranging a long table, ensuring everyone could sit and enjoy the meal together comfortably.

Food wise it's good. It's sate khas senayan. Anywhere we go the food is OK. What's sucks about this resto in lotte avenuein particular. They don't really know how to manage order. I came here 2 days in a row, first food for 6 person, 5 of them come very fast, another one we wait for more than a half hour. All have finish eating, but the other food still not coming. The next day we order for 12 person. Chicken skewers, beef Stew, tongseng, gado2, and many more. All of them come within 10 mnts. But we wait for more than an hour for the lamb satay. All already finish eating. When they came, we only got 2 portions... We order 3... Not 2. Not only us apparently. Several tables next to us also got the same issue. Their food still not complete. Oh, I love this place! If you want to try Indonesian food, this is definitely the place to go. The place was recently renovated and it has a really nice vibe and interior — very cozy and welcoming. But most importantly, the food is outstanding.

Their Sate Bumbu Blora is unbeatable. It’s my absolute favorite. I also really love their Kambing Goreng. The meat is super tender and the broth is so comforting. It’s become one of my go-to...
