Food Review
Bakso Urat (31k) & Bakso Rudal (32k) • Meatballs: 9/10 The bakso urat stands out with its unique flavor chewy, flavorful, and seasoned to perfection. Each bite feels like a delicious, savory dance on your palate. • Noodles: 9/10 You get a choice of two noodle types: yellow noodles and glass noodles. Both offer a familiar, comforting taste, delivering exactly what you’d expect with no surprises just satisfying simplicity. • Broth: 10/10 The broth is the true star of the meal! It’s rich, aromatic, and packed with bold flavors that linger beautifully. I couldn’t get enough of it I even asked for a refill three times, and it was consistently excellent.
Teh Tawar
A simple and refreshing drink that complements the hearty dishes well. Its lightness balances the bold flavors of the food, making it a great pairing.
Final Thoughts
Bakso Rusuk Samanhudi is a must-visit for bakso enthusiasts. From the chewy, flavorful meatballs to the unforgettable broth, every component of the meal is thoughtfully crafted. I wholeheartedly recommend trying it for yourself you...
Read moreI ordered the ultimate menu: Bakso Urat Rusuk (Meatballs with Rib)! When I bought, it was 42k IDR and the food came with 2 bowls. The first bowl is the meatball (1 big, 3 small with veggie -- I didn't eat it with noodle) and the second bowl is the rib (just enough size to accompany the meatballs)!
Taste: 4/5 The soup was clean, light and savory. I could taste the meat but the veggie was overcooked. Overall, it was good. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars since in my very personal opinion, there are some other places with more tasty meatballs
Service: 5/5 The waiters and waitresses were helpful and quick and take your particular order meticulously (e.g. you order veggie without beansprout / vermicelli only / etc).
Parking lot: 4/5 Up to 3 cars can park in front of the shop and up to other 4 cars can park just next to the shop. I went here Saturday evening and it wasn't hard to find parking lot.
The bottomline is... if you want to taste different variation of meatball, Bakso Rusuk Samanhudi is worth trying. It opens 24 hrs and offers delivery (with certain rates -- i forgot -- haha) within 4 km of the shop and minimum order of 60k IDR.

Bakso is a big time comfort food for many Indonesians. Even late at night, you will see bakso shops full with people getting their fix after a long day. Bakso is meatball, and there's different types of meatballs all simmering away in the soup at the front of the store here. The large bakso is sliced into 6 pieces, and reminds me strongly of the beef and beef tendon meatballs you will find in Vietnamese noodle soups. There's also smaller beef balls. You can order them in a soup with noodles, and each bowl will set you back around $3-4 AUD, depending on the size.
We also ordered rusuk, beef ribs in soup. The rib meat was quite tender, and great to see how well the meat fell off the bone. I was more captivated by the soup though. Both the bakso and rusuk soups were really flavourful, and my friend Vira showed me the local way of eating the bakso soup, by mixing chilli and kecap manis in. I live for...
