Bel Étage is an international restaurant in The St. Regis Jakarta that provides buffet for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Among them, the most famous one is their Sunday Brunch that is available only on Sunday from 12 PM - 3 PM. It costs IDR 992,200 NETT / person.
Although it is a brunch, but I could say that they serve so many variations of buffet dishes.
They highlight their selection of seafood on ice, such as seasonal oyster (I was excited to try this one, but found out that the oyster was quite fishy 🥲), lobster, king crab, king prawns, mussels and clams, sashimi.
Another famous spot that should be saved for the last is definitely DESSERTS CORNER! Oh my.. sorry for jumping directly to the desserts because it's a paradise indeed for those who have a sweet tooth!
They serve so many selections of sweets in a beautiful presentation, such as macarons, chocolate pralines, nastar, cupcakes, éclairs, nougat, doughnuts, croissants, cookies, tarts, various Indonesian traditional market munchies, mousse, pannacotta, ice cream with various toppings!
Okay, now let's move on the others because I've jumped too far already 😅
Bel Étage also serves various salads, cheese condiments, charcuterie condiments, beef, salmon, pork, Asian noodles corner, Indonesian foods corner, sushi, pasta.
Not only the ready to grab food, they also highlight on unlimited add on menu selections, such as a crab royal eggs, croissant sandwich, dry aged tomahawk, Australia lamb chop, foie gras, scallop, risotto, rib eye, and many more including the desserts.
For the drink, with this price, we got non-alcoholic beverages, such as mineral water, soft drinks, juices, and refreshers (mixed fruits and vegetables).
The place isn't that big, but it's quite spacious and packed, and still comfortable to walk around and explore the buffet.
Since we came here to celebrate me and my brother's birthday that time, we got a complimentary cake where the staff came to the table where there was a birthday person, gave the cake, and sang the happy birthday song at the simultaneously.
So, here are the recommendation from me that you have to try here :
Tuna and Salmon Sashimi Octopus Rib Eye Tomahawk Bacon & Egg Croissant Pan Fried Foie Gras Hainanese Chicken Rice Deep Fried Crab Desserts : Chocolate Pralines, Mango Sorbet,...
Read moreHad a birthday party for me with my family. Overall, it's the stellar hospitality that we enjoyed the most, giving a total score of 5/5
Food: 4/5 a buffet dining experience with bits of food from the archipelago, Chinese, Japanese, European, dessert, selection of cheeses, cakes, salads, and cocktails. The main course is provided via 16 options we were allowed to choose 1 each. If only we could have main options at the buffet, that would contribute to a more festive occasion, though I actually enjoyed the quietness of the place.
Ambience: 5/5 neat minimalist design, a combination of marble and wood gives a charming elegance yet contemporary look. Double soundproof glazing gives a total quietness from the busy outdoor or loud storm (we had a storm going on during out dinner, we heard none). Just outside of the restaurant, easily accessed via double-sided door, is an eclectic Mediterranean-contemporary design merged with pool, and tropical landscaping.
Location: 5/5 car-user friendly, nice location at Setiabudi, known for its shady street around the hotel complexes. Public transport user can use the Setiabudi Aini bus stop and walk quiet a bit. Sidewalk around the hotel is great, provided via incentives by the holding of the complex Ambalakar. Nearby Setiabudi LRT station will operate round mid August 2023, fingercross for that, as project has been delayed multiple times since 2017
Service: 5/5 extremely friendly and attentive staffs giving good impression to my old mom and dad. I am reminded via Whatsapp and call for the booking. They attend us to our need, and not too overtly as well, as we are still able to enjoy our dinner on our own quiet privately. They gave me a surprise birthday cake and a remark, and helped with my mom forgetting her Bonvoi number. All and all this is hospitality aspect is the best.
Price: 4/5 a bit on the expensive end. Probably make up for the stellar service
Facilities: 5/5 Disabled friendly facilities, affluent parking, comfortable layout. Convention hall available very close to Bel Etage. Another dining Rose just on the other side. The complex has many "recreation" places like spa, pool,...
Read moreMy colleagues and I recently had the pleasure of dining here daily for over a week. Impressive would be an understatement. We had been to over 30 countries and had dined at St Regis Doha, Houston, Aspen, London, Dubai etc and St Regis Jakarta beats them all. Better selection and better taste! One colleague remarked that the French toast was the best and we concurred. The shabu shabu station was the daily favorite.
The service was impeccable. The chef, server, manager, and every single restaurant staff were focused on world class service. One even noticed I had a wobbly table and quickly fixed it. I had never seen that level of attention anywhere else, ever. They also speak good English and quickly remember your name. The lady in charge of the Javanese cuisine made sure each item was authentic. She was even willing to make me ketoprak from scratch! It's really difficult to eat anywhere with such a high bar set on local, Eastern, and Western cuisines.
Its easy to tell that Sous Chef Almatino Ibrata and Chef Jaka Pamungkas invest in people and let their creativity flourish! Such approach is evident in the bento special that they graciously showcased: Madura fried duck, softshell crab, beef rendang curry, egg beef martabak and fancy local fruits. Your taste buds will experience nirvana! I highly recommend it
I also appreciate the diversity in the crew. I spoke to several and they came from various provinces and islands throughout Indonesia.
All in all, we cant wait to go back and experience the awesomazing delicacies and service. 10/10 and...
