DAON is one of premium Korean grill restaurants in Jakarta.
I visited at lunch at lunch time and ordered YangGomTang and Hanwoo Yukhoe Bibimbap. Both of them are very nice.
Especially, Yang Gom Tang is super awesome. Soup is clear and deep flavor, beef meat and organs are fresh and soft. This reminds me of Gom Tang Ha Dong Gwan (70 years old restaurant famous for Gom Tang). From my experiences, here is the only for this style of authentic Gom Tang. Maybe someone feels this is too simple and clear, but this is almost original Gom Tang ๐
Yukhoe bibimbap is also very nice. Texture mixed raw beef and vegetables makes me feel smlie.
Once I enter room, I felt itโs too big and too luxurious interior to enjoy simple lunch. However, the staffs are well-trained and served, so I can feel comfortable again. Place is suitable for business dinner. Service level is very high and free Tteokbokki is so delicious.
I cannot but say their dessert. Free dessert quality is awesome. Sorbet, cookie and fruit on a dish. Sorbet is ๐ And cafe latte is also free and good, so I cancel plan to visit Pison (next to DAON).
DAON looks making foods sincere and devoted as authentic Korean style. Iโd like to visit again to try beef grill menu.
p.s) beef Hanwoo menu looks very good and expensive which import from Korea.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโ- Visit again!
Still best Gom Tang in...

When it comes to Korean food nothing satisfies quite like a table full of sizzling grilled meats. On my recent visit, I went straight for my all-time favorites: Saenggalbi (์๊ฐ๋น, fresh unmarinated short ribs) and Jeoksuk Yangnyeomgalbi (์ฆ์ ์๋ ๊ฐ๋น, quick-boiled and marinated short ribs). Spoiler alertโthey did not disappoint.
Saenggalbi is all about letting the natural flavor of the beef shine. No marinade, just fresh, quality meat grilled gogigui-style (๊ณ ๊ธฐ๊ตฌ์ด, Korean BBQ). I wrapped each bite in ssam (์, lettuce wrap), added ssamjang (์์ฅ, seasoned soybean paste), garlic, and a slice of green chiliโ์ ๋ง ๋ง์์ด์ (really delicious)!
Then came the Jeoksuk Yangnyeomgalbiโtender short ribs boiled to soften, then coated in a rich, slightly sweet yangnyeom (์๋ , seasoning sauce) that caramelized perfectly on the grill. It was sticky, savory, and bursting with flavorโ์ ์์ ์ด์ด ๋ น์์ด์ (it melted in my mouth).
This is the kind of Korean food experience that stays with youโwarm, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. If youโre new to galbi (๊ฐ๋น), try both styles: the clean, pure bite of saenggalbi, and the bold, marinated richness of yangnyeomgalbi. Youโll understand why Korean BBQ is beloved...
ย ย ย Read moreWent here out of curiosity, but will definitely come back! The servers were really thoughtful (Nabila, Selvi, Yanti) as they greeted us warmly, they noticed things quickly (when we're running out of ocha, when we need new utensils)
The food was also fresh. The must-try is the abalone samgyetang (definitely best in town compared to other competitors in the same class!)
They served desserts package (sorbet, cookies and fruits) and coffee for free too. Definitely worth paying a visit!
Went here for the 2nd time at 9PM and they still served us kindly! The servers (Indah, Nia, Gerry) are really considerate and as previously, they are quick to notice when we're running out of side dishes (banchan), ocha or need new utensils.
Got samgyetang for the 2nd try and Today the ginseng tasted slightly stronger than before (which is even better!)
Got sundubujjigae which is slightly spicy as well, but still tastes good. Forgot to mention this, but they gave us tteokbokki for free as service everytime...
