Just know this place from youtuber who review this restaurant then we went here to have a try. The restaurant is build like homy place, it's like big dining room at ur home. Before entering the restaurant, they will check ur body temperature, then u choose ur table. For Korean people, they will be transferred to 2nd floor. The restaurant's menus are written in Korean language even though they add English language on it but overall it is written in Korean language but u can liaise with the waiter for the favourite menu. The restaurant is well known for its Jjangmyeon, the black noodle sauce. The noodle is little bit stuff and chewy but quite nice (like spaghetti one) with black pork sauce but the pork is scarce and u can find lots of potatoes on it. Then we ordered for Jjangmyeon with seafood one. It has 2 size regular (IDR58,000++) and large (IDR68,000++). Besides that, it also well known for Tangsuyup, pork with sweet and sour sauce, for regular IDR135,000++ for large IDR235,000++. Another one is spicy Jjampong for IDR 45,000++, it is seafood based broth noodle, the taste of soup is very nice and rich of spices and spicy taste. Besides that, they gave free raddish kimchi and onion. We also ordered Mandu, the fried gyoza and steam gyoza (for the skin not so soft and quite thick). We will give free tea/ocha. U need to get attention before eating here, please avoid the lunch time or dinner one as the service will be quite slow (lack of waiter / waitress) and lots of waiting queue and u need to...
Read moreRecently visited Ga Ya Sung restaurant, and I must say their Jajangmyeong is truly outstanding! The flavors were rich, and the portion size was more than generous. A single large serving easily satisfied two people. It's definitely their specialty and worth trying if you're a fan of this dish.
Another highlight at Ga Ya Sung was their Tang Su Yuk. The dish was delightful, and the flavors were on point. I highly recommend it!
While some of the other menu items were average, the Jajangmyeong and Tang Su Yuk made up for it. The authenticity of the place adds to its charm, even though the ambiance may seem a bit old. If you're looking for a genuine dining experience, Ga Ya Sung is the place to be.
The service was attentive, and the staff was friendly, ensuring a pleasant visit overall. I'll definitely be returning for their delectable Jajangmyeong and Tang Su Yuk.
Give Ga Ya Sung a try if you're craving authentic Korean cuisine. You won't be disappointed!

Read moreGoing to Dharmawangsa area to try one of famous authentic Korean restaurant, Ga Ya Sung. Me and a friend decided to try 3 of their menus, which are Tang Su Yuk (북겅탕수육), Jjajangmyeon (가야짜장) and Jaeng Ban Jjamppong (쟁반짬뽕). Their Tang Su Yuk is very pleasant to my palate, perfect crispy deep fried pork served with sweet and sour sauce, totally makes me crave for more. Their Ga Ya Jjajang is pretty nice, however lack of kick in the seasoning, well it's bland for me (pardon me for loving rich seasoned foods ☺️). And last but not least, Jaeng Ban Jjamppong which is stir fried dried jjampong or sweet and sour red pepper noodles with seafood and vegetables, this one is unexpectedly good ☺️👍🏻, and the portions is huge and generous, perfect for share for 2-4 persons. Note for you guys, ask for their free jjampong soup, it's totally delicious and help comforting your belly while enjoying your ordered dishes. For this visit to Ga Ya Sung, i'm gonna rate them 3.5 out of 5. For more info about foods, kindly visit...
